BF3 seems fine maxed out except for the FSAA setting (since that chews up and spits out your FPS no matter the game), I'm running a GTX 570.

No problem. Yeah, that isn't even the beginning of my collection. Any band I seriously like I try and get all of their albums if possible. I finished doing that recently with Lamb of God, Soundgarden, Mercenary, Amon Amarth, DevilDriver, Shadows Fall, Dimmu Borgir (except 'For All Tid' since that's hard to find), etc. I'm working on As I Lay Dying, Fear Factory, In Flames and Mnemic right now. I'm closing the gap on most of them. I try to buy from record stores if I can, but it's getting harder and harder to find what I need. That's the price I pay for not listening to Cold Play and U2 like any other mainstream "rocker". (I do in fact listen to Coldplay and U2 btw. lol) *EDIT* Oh also, as far as selection is concerned: Google Music is a brand new service (literally a couple of weeks old) so their selection isn't as large as iTunes, but the only way to change that is to buy stuff from them. I don't dislike Apple, but I want serious competition, and it looks like Google is in a position to put some pressure on them. Right now, all of the record labels are screwing Google big time because now with the success of iTunes, they all want more money for a contract with Google. Warner Brothers Records in particular doesn't want to go along with the program at all. They want more money. Every other major label (Sony BMG, EMI, Universal, Polygram) has finally joined in.

That's still a suggestion, you're just calling it something different. To quote Judge Judy: "Don't piss on my shoe and tell me it's raining." I'm going to go ahead and close this thread now. If you want, go ahead and discuss this in the other threads about new stuff that are here and there on the forum. We have a suggestion freeze due to there being enough stuff on our plates.

Has anybody else had a chance to try this program/service yet? I found a couple of albums on there that I was looking forward to grabbing, so I decided to give it a shot and see what it's all about. The pricing is certainly right, the download speeds are non-existent if you don't want them to be (because the service also offers streaming from Google's servers) and if you install their music client you can download your stuff to your computers to your hearts content. Basically it works like this: Using Google Play (formerly the Android Marketplace): Find music you like and buy it. Using Google Music: Your music will be played from Google's cloud music server every time you look it up on your phone, or sign into a PC using your Google account. If you so choose, you can also download this content permanently. You have a two strike system, UNLESS you install the Google Music client on your PC. Then it is unlimited downloads. Uploading your existing music: You have the option of uploading any music you have to Google Music's cloud service using your Google account. From what I've seen, there are no limitations. This means that any music you own you can now steam off of your Google Music account from anywhere on any device with internet access. Very cool. I now no longer have to worry about storage issues or memory card upgrades on my smart phone and I could theoretically stop buying iPods if I wanted to. That's why I don't mind the current police vehicles. It's a tad annoying that it takes 6 seconds to get from 0-60 in a Charger, but once they get rolling, they do a good job of keeping pace and gripping the road, and larger cities do occasionally have "pursuit cars". Don't run from that. ^ Or this. Cool music to fit that one too. lol If I got to drive that around I'd have that song in my head every minute I was in the drivers seat.

I don't know if the fix was aimed at GTA IV, but a few games use the same engine for rendering and physics, so the FPS increase in GTA IV is probably a by-product.

The studio also closed down almost immediately after release. lol

:thumbsup: You read my mind. Also I'm surprised they were able to get traffic to flow on those. I remember in GTA III I was always told by programmers that it was near impossible or impossible to create a new map with a vehicle path on it. Maybe the engine change in GTA IV fixed that.

In Photoshop I use the Magic Wand tool to get a rough selection, then I'll use the Quick Mask option for cleaning up the selection to make sure I get all parts of the shirt and it doesn't overlap onto anything. I then take that selection and tint the color or saturate it.

Looking into the academy soon, currently physical training so I don't fail out as soon as I enter lol (moving to a new state didn't help as the entry & exit requirements have changed). The engine in the Crown Victoria and the Ford Mustang is not the same. Both cars have models that come in 4.6L, but the CVPI is 2 valve, the Mustang is 3 or 4 valve with higher horsepower and more torque on many models and also has 5.0L variants. I'll agree that the body being lighter and carrying less equipment helps, but it's a better car overall performance wise. Police cars have to perform a range of different duties, not just pursuits, which is part of the reason they are designed the way they are. Boats weigh a lot when you ram something, as an example. And your standard cruisers with some of the police packages are more durable than expensive exotic cars that are often made of fiberglass. CVPI's are also better daily drivers and can hold prisoners in the back easily due to their size. Finally, although they are a well known cop car, they still don't turn heads like a Mustang or Camaro will to John Q. Public. Only to criminals with a wrap sheet. And in response to Comm, yes I've been in my share of CVPI's (always in the front passenger seat, mind you lol). I'd consider fast 0-60 in about 6 seconds which is about what CVPI's and Chargers can pull off. Would it be great if they could go faster? Yes, and supposedly the new Ford Interceptors will, but the need for that is fairly rare. And I agree pursuit policies can be annoying, but they are usually there to protect the public. The chases we have in LCPD:FR would almost never occur that way in real life due to the amount of danger they pose. Take the move 'The Town' as an example if you want. High speeds in narrow streets and then guns get involved. If the danger to traffic and pedestrians wouldn't be cause enough to terminate the pursuit, the gun fire would have done so after the first shot with any sane police Captain listening in.

No, I don't think they do. Generally speaking the idiots who take police on car chases don't have $100,000 sports cars. Those pursuits exist, but they're rare and they generally don't go above 120 for safety reasons. Going that fast never ends well. A lot of departments where chases like that happen have pursuit specific cars anyway like Mustangs or Camaros.

Yes ELS will crash weaker computers because it rapidly applies and unapplies textures and model attatchments to the cars every fraction of a second. This has already been discussed a ton of times.
