If LCPDFR was invited as a Game Feature on GTAV
Lets not forget that LCPD:FR was not always this advanced. It and all other mods for this game started from nothing. Going from LCPD:FR for GTA IV to one for the newer game might be like traveling back in time because you'll lose features you had before until they can be re-done. And if focus is shifted from GTA IV to GTA V, many features the devs have been thinking about and working on for months may never be realized, such as AI police cars doing their own pullovers, adding in additional weapons and tools like flashlights, batons and pepper spray, new callout scenarios and new vehicle modifications like spotlights, a new ELS system or better pedestrian modeling. Shifting to a new game will be a double edged sword.

Do you think her action's were justified?
Some guy hauling ass down the highway around here at one point got pulled over for doing 106mph trying to get his pregnant wife to the hospital and got arrested. Later after the news story went out the officer was placed on administrative leave and the incident was investigated. The papers called him cruel as he did not offer to escort the husband to the hospital, or bring the wife there himself and still charged the guy with some stupid crime. Law or no law, there are good excuses sometimes. lol Anyway the guy ended up having the charge against him dropped. And the wife and kid were fine.

If LCPDFR was invited as a Game Feature on GTAV
It might even take that length of time to get a PC version of the game, if they release one. For GTA IV the console versions were released in April, it took until December to get the PC version out the door, and as I said before they don't make much revenue off of it. By the time it comes out everyone has already played and forgotten about the console version. I bought GTA IV twice. Once on the 360, and then I remember removing the PC version from a tote at my old job in 2008 and I said "Oh I forgot this was even coming out. I'll set this aside for the end of my shift." When I installed it, it ran like a pile of crap and I left the game alone for another 5 months until I built a new PC. Anyway, after all of that stuff happens for GTA V, then they'll need to figure out if they can recode everything.

What do the three lighting modes mean?
I far prefer ELS to standard lights, and police cars usually perform pits with minimal damage to their own cars. Your car is pretty much totaled after any pursuit in GTA IV with stock cars, I've found. ELS fixes that so I don't have to spam the health cheat or go find a new car.

Do you think her action's were justified?
Oh I know there are plenty of reasons to stop people around here, and I think any officer would be up to his eyeballs in tickets if he wrote everybody up on them. But I agree that there are priority ones. For me I'd say that running red lights are inexcusable unless it happens to be a split second difference (but even then yellow means slow down, not mash on the gas). I think 15+ mph over the limit is inexcusable unless there's a hell of an explanation for it. Racing on public roads is inexcusable. Those are a few big ones I can think of.

LCPD MDC
Yours. You started the thread.

Oh god, I can already smell the truck driving sim mod coming. I think it'll be a big hit. (Yes, I made that.)

LCPD MDC
Then I think our threadstarter here may want to ask Jay about making HIS code open source, so the development team could have the opportunity to integrate it and save themselves any work if they decided to duplicate this feature down the road. People have already been asking for a feature to run car's plates and check for stolens or warrant statuses. Having this being partially finished by another coder would speed this up and add another degree of realism if the author would be willing to share it with G17.

If LCPDFR was invited as a Game Feature on GTAV
Just to clarify a few things since I get this same question on my YouTube account PM'd to me literally every week: -No, this will more than likely NOT be a feature in GTA IV. The name of the game is 'Grand Theft Auto'. Not 'Bait Car'. The thousands of people who have downloaded this mod may seem like a lot, but Rockstar Games sees millions of copies of this game sold, and the majority of them are on the XBOX and Playstation. The PC version is an afterthought at best, and quite frankly I think we're lucky they even make one conisdering how little money they make off of it. As stated earlier, most people who buy GTA don't want to roleplay as police officers. They want to beat up hookers, snort coke off of a strippers ass and shoot pedestrians and any cops that get in their way under the cloak and veil of a storyline about a guy who has to struggle through the criminal underworld of a major city to get to the top. They only have to pay with $60 and a few dozen hours of their time to do that, so people of all ages (literally) are willing to do that. They get to put their cares and normal law abiding caution to the side and break some rules for a few hours a day. -If a PC version does come out (Rockstar may value consoles higher, as everyone does these days, but they know what their fans want and they usually listen), it will probably be modable in the same way that GTA IV is. Not directly. We won't get an SDK of any sort. The process will probably have to be repeated all over again. GTA:SA was different from GTA III and GTA Vice City in the same way that Coke and RC Cola are different from Pepsi. They are dressed up versions of the same thing. GTA V doesn't wow me graphically, and that's because it's using the same game engine as GTA IV. However, they will probably have added in some new physics coding by now, as well as new graphical options and AI changes which will make the re-designing of almost every mod we use now (car skinning aside) an inevitability. -And lastly, 'Hot Coffee' wasn't really a mod. Someone who had the PC version changed a Boolean variable in the game's coding to enable a feature that the Rockstar developers hid. They used it to get a laugh while testing the game, and were too lazy to remove it before launching the product. They were forced to stop sales of the game at one point, to remove the particular code, then re-produce the game again. I assure you they will not make the same mistake again. Rockstar may not be perfect, but they're not stupid. They'll learn (and have learned) from mistakes like Rockstar Social Club and 'Hot Coffee'.

I miss playing that game now that I'm watching it. lol And that profile description of the CVPI makes me a bit sad as it reminds me that the car is no longer being produced.

Do you think her action's were justified?
I believe I also read earlier that someone said the officer did not pull over when signaled originally, which could (depending on the context, I wasn't there to witness it) be interpreted as evading. But I think we're beating a dead horse here. The thread was about whether or not we think her actions were justified, not what charge he should have recieved. I do think they were justified, I see a few of you do not. On a seperate note, I'm sorry to hear 'operating to endanger' doesn't exist in Florida. It can be a useful prosecution tool to get people off the roads who don't belong there. Perhaps I'll see this incident differently if I go through an academy.

Possible 095 bug? (NOT A SUPPORT REQUEST)
Confirmed. I've had the bug for months but didn't car since I don't belong on the tarmac. lol It does happen in front of a small building on the 2nd major island though, with a couple of police officers standing outside the door.

Build your own dashlight flasher
White lights are allowed in my current state and the one I lived in before which I find unbelievable because white LEDs have a blue tint at a distance, and white is used on police cars to accompany the blue. I got pulled over once in my first car for having green (and I'm talking deep green) lights on my green rice racer car. They didn't blink, and I didn't have underglow either, so I wasn't stopped for that. There were two dots on the center of the hood, below the windshield washer fluid dispensers. The officer said they were "too close to blue", so I had to disable them. The next day I asked an officer I knew in the next town over. He said there is no such law against green, so he was full of crap and he told me to re-enable them. lol

Need help buying/building or upgrading a computer?
It's unnecessary to have two 680's or a 690 for todays games anyway. OP unless you're running multiple monitors at resolutions upwards of 1080p. And depending on the Best Buy some of the employees are stupid or don't care. I've worked for them before. The guys at my store were usually pretty intelligent, and I was always brutally honest to parents who wanted to buy their kids a gaming PC but wanted a $330 laptop because the price was right. I can still remember some lady I talked to and the face she gave me when I told her that it was good for looking at MySpace or typing a letter and that's about it. I told her to buy an XBOX instead rather than waste her money on a computer that won't do anything. A lot of PC loyalists wonder why consoles are so popular instead of PC's. That's why. $$$. Parents can usually shut their kids up for 5-7 years with a console and a few copies of Call of Duty for $3-400 plus games & controllers. PC's are more expensive to begin with (at first glance anyway) and they need updating on a semi-regular basis if you wish to have them play games at optimal performance and high detail levels. Anyway, I'm ranting now. As I said, good luck.

I believe it. Chicago is the only major city that wont let the show COPS film there. They mayor says he doesn't want people around the world thinking Chicago is full of crime. As if it's some kind of rumor or secret... Honestly, the morons we have in our government...

Truth is stranger than fiction, as they say.

New Ped Models
I like the ideas behind these. Are the textures supposed to be that muddy looking though? Or is it just your graphical settings on your personal PC? Because I can't really read the patches, and the word 'police' on the tactical vest is really muddy looking.

I need your opinion.
I'd say to nail down what type of department you're going to be. I'd suggest a Sheriff's department because you'd cover the entire county, not just one island or one section. And drop the rank BS other groups have. I don't mind playing with others but I'm not taking orders from anyone if I'm not getting paid or trained.

A felony traffic stop involves taking the suspect out and gunpoint, Slimory. EVI was saying it should have been a misdemeanor reckless driving charge. I'm saying it should have been a felony operating to endanger charge, hence why the gunpoint arrest was warranted. This is what the difference between us would be as individuals on patrols; the kinds of citations or arrests we issue. I wouldn't be forgiving of those kind of traffic violations. And on a separate note, just because somebody is dressed in a police uniform and in a marked car doesn't mean they are a police officer. All signs point to green, but it's not always the case. In a town in the previous state I lived in, a local department arrested a man who had been showing up to briefings and taking a police cruiser out for full shifts for two weeks in a row. Nobody knew that he wasn't actually a police officer, just some guy. It took them two weeks to figure that out. Cops are humans, and humans are often stupid.

Hilarious Cop Take-Down
It's fine. It's very convincing. I researched it since I was kind of outraged at his behavior, then I learned it was a very convincing fake. There's another one posted about a cop going on a religious tirade during a traffic stop. The same guy's responsible for it.

You can't upgrade a laptop. Good luck, though.

The traffic stop in Suddens first video is a fake/prank. That guy's official channel had several videos like that, a couple of which involve the same officer.

EVI, I don't want to start up an argument, but operating to endanger is a felony in many states, including the one I reside in now. Besides, what she charged him with and what he could be charged with are two different things. Debatable law B.S aside, I'm glad nobody got shot. With the recent local police chief killing fresh in my mind, nobody needs to get shot right now.

No graphics card in that one. Doesn't meet minimum requirements, so the game may not even install. If it does, performance will be pretty poor. What you picked is a good day-to-day laptop though.
