Disabling specular map
Hi, so as most of you know, if you increase the overall reflection of the timecyc.dat file, not just the cars will shine more, but even the world as well. Is it possible to disable / black out all specular map textures at once? What I do now, is open every file that contains road textures and replace the specular texture with a pitch black texture. This way the road won't shine like it's icy or something. When it's raining the roads still get wet, and they'll reflect the world since the normal map contains the amount of shinyness for the road textures. So is it possible to make only the cars reflect the world more, and not the whole game?

Felony stop
From the album: CHP
CHP got reports of a stolen black 2006 Lincoln Town Car. After an approximately 30 minute chase, the driver led police to a truck stop, where chp took control of the situation and made a felony stop. Noone was harmed in the process. -
Sgt.Kanyo's handling mods
It's already been made. It's the same as the 2006 impala.

2009 Ford Crown Victoria CHP Whelen Liberty
I told you, I'm not gonna change it. If I change anything I lose code 3 park mode. If you wanna do that, go ahead, delete the blue light from extra7, extra8 and extra9, and modify the traffic advisor like you want, but I won't change it. Also I saw CHP using only red and blue at the back, in code3 mode, but I've only seen it on the whelen liberty models, not on the slicktops. Like I said, if you really want only reds at front, go ahead you can modify the file, it is unlocked.

I dunno, if you take requests, but if you do, can you please make the slicktop CHP's traffic advisor? If not, then nevermind, sorry for asking.

Sgt.Kanyo's handling mods
Yeah. It's the CVPI handling optimized for Caine's. What I did was, make a handling line for the DRV SF model and the old schaefft model. You should use the schaefft one (that's the one that's optimized for caine's vic) Also if you're having issues, I'm almost certain it's the model. I've seen that bug before, with EVI's LAPD crown vic. EDIT: damn I've been ninja'd. Anyway send me a link to the truck you want a handling for, and I'll look into it.

Sgt. Kanyo's time cycle ELS help
Visualsettings.dat is the file you are looking for. And in the file, you need to change "Other emmisive lights"'s brightness to a lower value. If you don't want really bright els lights, you have to change it to like 10. Right now if I'm not mistaken, it's on 50.

Traffic behaviour file
Nah hardcoded means, it's written in the game. It's impossible to modify that.

Traffic behaviour file
Well shit... That looks unmoddable to me. Thanks rockstar for supporting the modding com- oh hold on I said support, I meant not support lol

Well mine was based on EVI's new whelen liberty, and I checked mine is a tiny bit more accurate. As for model wise, my car is the DRV SF model, which imo is a lot more accurate and also a lot nicer, then the old crown vic, also my car features full on realistic lightbar patterns, that chp uses.

Traffic behaviour file
I see, and what about stuff like how fast they are going / when they should brake / how they stop for red light? I'm guessing these stuff are hardcoded, and the only file we could modify is the path file. Also you can see how peds don't really stick to the exact same path as the others. Like 1 of them is a bit closer to the center, while the other 1 is closer to the side. You think it'd be possible modifying that? Or another thing I'd love to modify is to make them turn less. It's like they have this urge to steer, isntead of going forwards.

Traffic behaviour file
Alright, so there's a file that can modify ped relations, that can modify ped's walk style, voice etc. So my question is, is there a file that controls the ai's movement in cars? I'd try to make traffic act a bit better, if there's such thing.

Well according to spitfire who actually asked real chp officers, it works like this. If you don't care about CHP lighting, skip this part below: Code 3 mode is when everything lights up (blue and red), that is what my car features. When the car is in "Park", the front of the lightbar lights up as steadyburn (all blue and red lights). If the driver puts the car in "Drive", it starts flashing. I've seen 2 types of flashing, which is when the whole lightbar flashes, or when it flashes first on the left side, then on the second side. Then there's the traffic stop mode, in this mode the blue part doesn't light up, only the red. Same thing happens when you put it in park or drive. Also Spitfire said, that the officer told him, you can switch only the front and only the back on as well. They usually use the traffic arrows with the blue steady burn at traffic stops, or they also tend to use the blue and amber "forward cutoff". My car features the "forward cutoff" with blue, red and amber. Also there was a video about how the new whelen lightbar works (every single mode), but those videos were taken down, I'm afraid. This was the link: http://www.smugmug.com/gallery/9886470_k8BW8/1/#!i=673394742&k=reG6u ELS doesn't let me create a traffic arrow with steady burns, so I ditched the idea, and chp uses red blue vs amber a lot more then blue vs amber. If I modify the lights in any way I'll lose the code 3 park mode, and I want at least 1 light mode set up properly.

Yes just like the real CHP crown vic. That's code 3 drive mode. If you wanna toggle the whole front, (which is code 3 mode when the car is in park), you have to disable the primaries and toggle the secondaries. Here you can see the lightbar in action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rGYGXeUpOGI&lr=1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTVnCBk5iI4 Also don't forget to switch your primaries to A-04 or B-04 in els menu.

Sgt.Kanyo's handling mods
Hmm tbh I'm not an expert at zmodeler, so I don't know, it could be a lot of things. EDIT: Also I released the Whelen Liberty CHP Crown Vic and also updated the slicktop CHP crown vic, so if anyone is interested, they can find it shortly in the downloads section.

- Version v5
- This is a Ford Crown Victoria P71 California Highway Patrol police car. It replicates the marked version with the Whelen Liberty. - This car trys to be as close to the real one as possible. - This car is not locked, so you may import it into zmodeler, and you may edit it for personal use. - If you want to release the car, please give credits to everyone who made this mod in the first place. - Primary lights: standard CHP code 3 drive mode - Secondary lights: CHP code 3 park mode (all lights in front on steady burns and "forward cut-off" at the rear) - ELS v5 settings: E-01C and C-01 - ELS v8 settings are included, and you need to use the C-00 pattern on the secondaries and C-03 for "traffic stop" park mode- 23 comments

Sgt.Kanyo's handling mods
modelling wise, it is. If you move the car in the x or y axis in zmodeler, it'll mess up the suspension like that. Also it could be other stuff. If you want to see perfect models, look at smokey's converts :P

Sgt.Kanyo's handling mods
Oh, yeah I had that on his LAPD crown vic, it's not a handling issue, it's the model that is badly set up...
