vdH PoliceHelper 1.2.0 beta

Hi Abraxas

Long time shadow lurker first post.  First off I want to say I really enjoy and appreciate your mod.  I'm curious if anyone has had the same issue I've been having.  I've noticed that if I open PoliceHelper and my strobes are activated on my police vehicle I get a script crashing for the strobes mod.  This then snowballs into PoliceHelper getting several errors until I reload scripts.  Do you know if there is some conflict between your PH mod and the strobes mod?  

 

I'm eagerly awaiting for your next update as I'm sure many others are too.

I've never heard about such conflict. Maybe you should try to change key bindings. Also new version may help as it will have option to NOT pause game while in PH menu (pause/no pause/pause only in moving vehicle). It will be released today/tomorrow.

Yea it happened while I was outside the vehicle.  I hit X to bring up PH and it paused like it should but I noticed I could still see my strobing headlights, which I thought was strange.  Then after I do my business I click close and I get the strobe script error.  After that PH starts popping up errors so I reload my scripts.  I've already changed the ini for the strobes so they don't come on automatically but I haven't tested it yet.  

 

Fantastic to hear there's an update soon. 

 

Edit: Not having the strobes on while in PH seems to work.  I had one error because the AI strobes were still enabled so I disabled them.

Hey, I have a problem with the large vehicles towing mod, Basically for bikes + Cars the vans/flatbeds work fine. However when it comes to a Trash lorry that needed to be towed the Helicopter flies in normally then bugs a little to where it's meant to be then it just goes up and hovers for ages... Can you think of why this may be? P.s this is on EFLC and I have renamed the Paths file so I could use bait car chop shops (incase that has something to do with it).. Thanks in advance.

I have a quick suggestion. Would it be possible to like edit the random events, involving the cars? Whenever I try pulling someone over it takes them forever. LCPDFR crashes. I have to turn on my siren to make them pull over. When they pull over, They clog up traffic, by pulling over in the middle of the street. So, What I'm asking is for you to make the AI a little smarter and pull over. I know you can do it!

I have a quick suggestion. Would it be possible to like edit the random events, involving the cars? Whenever I try pulling someone over it takes them forever. LCPDFR crashes. I have to turn on my siren to make them pull over. When they pull over, They clog up traffic, by pulling over in the middle of the street. So, What I'm asking is for you to make the AI a little smarter and pull over. I know you can do it! 

 

This has nothing to do with PoliceHelper & the DEVs said already that they are going to work on it for version 1.

If you want my attention, quote me.

In case of cars stoping in thee middle of the road it's a part of LCPDFR. I have that behaviour very often not involving random events. What worries me is that you say it crashes LCPDFR which should not happen. Maybe send me your logs. I agree that using sirens may help and minimal distance to invoke pull over can be smaller than usual. I hope these issues will be solved when LCPDFR API is released. No it is done by many weird workarounds.

I hope I'll be able to release new version tomorrow as I leaving for few days to London.

On that tow script problem to be honest I have no clue whats wrong. Would be cool to see video of that to understand whats going on.

The Pull Over Script Crashed once, and Its just really annoying that they take forever to pull over. Like, I usually force a pursuit. The AIs are fun to chase.

OK so some of you know already that new version is up.

There are some new cool things that should make it more enjoyable. I strongly recommend getting back to bait car as it is more fun now, especially with two thieves :]
