I heard in the Radio too the Assasin shot from the 32. Floor(it sounds like, it was a Sniper Attack) and was together with a Woman

It was the exact opposite of a sniper attack. The shooter had some sort of automatic rifle (yes, I know the difference between semi and full auto). Based on the length of fire and sound, it sounded like an AK of some type.

 

Current count is updated to 50 dead, 200 injured, 1 of the dead was an off duty lvmpd officer. A 2nd off duty cop was injured.

 

I expect the numbers will rise.

The Las Vegas Police(LVMPD) says killed Suspect was a 64 years old Las Vegas Citizen and it's from 20 dead Victims to 50 dead Victims and 200 injured

New Information: the 64 Jears old White Suspect Stephen Paddock killed himself not the Police killed him

I noticed that several people have been replying to this with their own takes on the suspect's motive and whether or not he's right wing, left wing, and generally trying to appropriate blame in a partisan manner (these posts have been removed).

 

I don't believe that in something like this it really matters if the person who pulls the trigger is right wing, left wing, or a chicken wing.  It's simply reprehensible and it's something so tragic that surely people of all political philosophies should be able to come together in search of a solution, not politicking or blame.

 

In short, please don't reply to this thread with attempts to advance your own political agendas.

 

 

 Regardless of race, of motive, of who, it happened, and that won't change. Lets not focus on those, lets focus on the victims and the struggles they are going through.  To the ones that will survive, they survived physically.  Mentally and emotionally?  They are scarred for life.

 

If you want to help the victims and are able to, donate blood.  You'll be saving more lives than you know.

I was not trying to promote a political agenda, sorry if it seemed that way. It's now 58 dead, 515 injured. 

 

It's quite incomprehensible to think someone other than a "terrorist would do this".

how is it baseless when I have stated that the shooter had no priors and that all of the sudden decides to shoot upon a crowd of unarmed people and had automatic rifles in a 32 story building not being seen or noticed by anyone and then kills himself...I am asking questions it is NOT conspiracy what is wrong with asking questions? maybe that's why this world is screwed because people blindly follow the media and the government and don't use any form of critical thinking skill which is acquired in elementary school, everyone has a right to chip in and what they believe and no one should be censored because it "doesn't fit your world view" or it hurts your feelings

It's a conspiracy because all you have stated is that he hasn't got a criminal record, that does not mean that he did not do it, and unless you can provide some evidence stating that he did, your comments are that of a conspiracy and will not be allowed in this topic, it's as simple as that.

I support the discussion of possible motives but baseless conspiracies are precisely that, conspiracies that make absolutely no sense.

 

Here's what we know.

1. The suspect is an elderly white male adult from Mesquite, NV - approximately 85 miles away. 
2. The suspect was negative NCIC and negative SCOPE - he had a clean record.
3. The suspect was possibly with another female, who Metro is currently looking for.
4. The suspect killed himself when Metro breached his door. Room was discovered due to fire alarm sounding from weapon smoke.

There is no mention of possible religious or extremist involvement as of right now. This could be just a man going insane and deciding to take it out. However, I feel that this was planned months, or even years, in advance. It is a terrorist attack, bar none, based on the casualties and tactics that this man took last night in his savagery. Regardless of the motive, this attack is the deadliest mass shooting event in US history, and it was on a massive tourist location.

Just to clarify, the LVMPD aren't looking for anyone else in connection with this at the moment, and have ruled out the involvement of Marilou Danley (the female companion).
