Two in Pennsylvannia alone. Man kills his two parents and shoots and injures his wife. Antoher where a gunman kills one person and injures three, including a police officer, at a Masontown court house. Another in Wisonsin when a gunman shoots four people at a software company - no fatalities. Seems recently there's been a lot more of these shootings. This month has already seen a shooting in Cincinatti and Bakersfield. What is going on ?

I'm planning a custom version of GTA.
 

 
Basically I'm just trying to mod GTA for this fictional sixth version. I want to mod things like the speech from the characters, police radio chatter, stuff like trees. Anyone know how I can do this? Just say for now to change the trees.

Everyone here seems to point the finger on the guns. Yes they do need to be harder to access. But actually, what is the one thing common in all these shootings (except terrorrist related ones like San Bernandino and Orlando)? Mental health. The US needs to mainstream its mental health.
 
I would suggest that before any restrictions on guns are put into place, the US should have a federal based gun ownership system run by the ATF or DHS. Florida has some of the least tight gun laws where these mass shootings happen most. 
 
I like guns, but when you've got shitty politics involved, it really makes me wonder: could we actually be safer by banning say an AR-15? The NRA is one of the biggest problems. Here in the UK we actually have an NRA (which is actually older) but a) no one has ever heard of it and b) it doesn't even have any political inflence. 
 
I'm sick of these shootings and until something is done they will happen. I'm just glad the suspect was caught alive

France has had its fair share of mass shootings. The worst mass shooting in modern history happened in France. - 2015 attacks. 128 people died because of shootings. 89 were killed in a mass shooting at the Bataclan. Last december a policeman killed three people and then himself. There was a school shooting/grenade attack at a school in  France in March, fortunately no one was killed.
 
The point is, is that the USA is a massive country and every state is so different what works in NY might not work in another state. We need mental health care!

WHEN WILL IT END!

And each year hundreds of people are killed by firearms due to mass shooting incidents. The biggest threat to America is not ISIS, but it's own people. If you ignore the problem, it will only get better. How many more dead until something happens? If the same amount of people who died in 9/11 were killed in a mass shooting I guarantee we'd get a response like "let's not politicise the situation" or "he was mentally ill, mental illness is the problem"

Why can't they have gun laws for the entire country rather than state by state?

There was a recent incident at a church in Nashville where the church usher got a gun and held the suspect down but in all fairness, if the guns weren't so readily avaliable it wouldn't be an issue. People need to get with it. Gun control does not mean banning all guns. I don't want that to happen and neither do most people. Gun control means restricting magazine capacities, closing legal loopholes, doing more background checks....
 
I mean, seriously. What's the big deal in waiting an extra day or two to get a license? The NRA tell people that if we implement gun control then they will not have any guns. In reality, they may have to wait a bit longer and not be able to shoot more than 15 bullets. Please tell me a rational situation where you would need more than 15 bullets. Two bullets is enough to stop most people. It's ridiculous. We are trying to save lives. And if we can't give people the treatment they need then we need to restrict their access to lethal weapons. 

Because the government isn't about to overthrow you that's why. The army have attack helicopters, tanks, miniguns.....does that mean we have to have them to? For what? I support the 2nd amendment but not when it is not brought up to date. The 2nd amendment was written at a time when the government was not like the ones we have today. America is a stable country in terms of finance and security. The 2nd amendment was written at a time when there were no such things as assault rifles. Times have changed. Or are you now saying that we should have slaves too because that's what the USA was built on?

Apparently he went in in "full combat gear" and was killed after a pursuit with police. Seems ironic that in a state like Texas this could happen. 

Trump's response to this will proabably be "it was a very sick individual" and when it comes to gun control "when the time is right."

The laws need changing. TBH, I think even Trump want's a degree of gun control. If it wasn't for the stupid NRA. Times have changed since 1776. I hope that there will be a response to this that actually changes something, but I doubt anything will happen. I'll be interested to see who the shooter is, but we probably all know the background of him....

If you look back at Nice, if you can imagine that the police didn't have guns, you would be looking at 100+ dead instead of 86. They are extremists. Not innocent. They have either returned from syria, planning to go, sympathising with isis, sharing isis beliefs, or planning an attack. 

Disgraceful. I know we may be back to the gun control thing again, but even myself, a gun enthusiast, thinks that its out of control. Were they random attacks/targeted? . I don't believe in banning guns, far from it, but I think you should look at the firearm used most in these shootings and make them harder to get, ie, handguns. I really can't think why they would just be shot randomly, unless terrorism or mental health issues. And I really don't think its gonna be some ISIS attack in Pennsylvania. Which leads us to better mental health care, and locking away these assholes.
