that's definitely an issue with game memory. try removing a few scripts and setting gta's priority to high in the task manager and see if that helps. This is happening because the game is running out of memory to use, and as a result can't load the map in.

Well, both vehicles are already in 3.0.

The Corrections Merit and prison bus are RDE stuff yes, but the prison bus is merely ambient (just like the vanilla one), and the Merit will spawn when you have a wanted level near the prison. You'd have to ask @SuperStumpje about LSPDFR stuff, but I presume it spawns as well.

I'm currently not using the Merit or the bus for any backup/transport things, though the bus will of course spawn at the Paleto Bay sheriff and airport PD stations instead of the regular bus, and getting into them will just start the prisoner transport like it would normally.

 

EDIT: I might still make the Merit spawn as backup unit around the prison for the next release, I think CustomBackup has it as a separate area option.

Nope, nor do I see it happen due to it being a little on the useless side. As far as I can tell, in California they'll just call in an air unit from the local police/sheriff department if they ever need one, which is what is currently happening in RDE too.

Got a question for you guys... would it be possible (or maybe that's already planned for an upcoming version) to have police AI request backup when under fire from other AI? 

 

I lost count of how many times I saw one or two cops in a brave but ultimately losing fight against a dozen Vagos or Ballas, with no other cops responding. Seems to me like in such a situation, police cars would soon be swarming from all directions to assist their pinned colleagues - I mean, they do if the player character so much as stands too close to a cop's face!

 

If it's possible to implement this kind of response (even if it's just sending a small preset amount of backup, e.g. 3-4 cars), it would certainly be a nice realistic touch.

I am considering programming such functionality, but I won't make it for 3.1.
