Remember when we used to do DEV updates? I don't, but hopefully you do. I thought it would be opportune to touch upon 3.1 and the future going forward.

 

Since our initial release of 3.0 back in December, we're been hard at work sorting out issues and planning out the future.

 

3.1 will be a content patch, which has been dubbed as the "Landstalker and Unmarked Pack" by me.

 

For starters; the LSPD, LSSD and BCSD will all get some new unmarked vehicles: (Images courtesy of @RolandHUE and myself)

Hello.

 

Looks like a great mod and a lot of effort going in. It took me a good while to get this to install and work, although I dont think it is at 100% as yet. First time undertaking such a big mod so I had a couple of issues, so buried myself through the net to try and find read mes, info, videos, etc.

 

Fixed up the scripthook and C++ issues, cleared out the MOD folder and got it so it would load and work with LSPDR.

 

In game I do notice: More peds, all the skin changes to cars and uniforms, the new cars (if they are spawned) and some changes to AI (more carrying weapons, more reactions, gangs, etc.).

 

Got a fairly stable play and really enjoyed the new looking cars, uniforms and the potential for AI (minus a couple of hiccups below).

 

But,

 

I did have a couple of issues if anyone has ideas or is kind enough to assist please? :)

 

  1. Is there an actual list/documentation of what this mod brings to the game? I cannot find a single location of all the benefits and additions. I know there is heaps, but for me when I mod I like to know what it has so I also know what to test to see if it works. I knew release 2 had some notes, but theres been changes since.
  2. I do have LSPDR installed. When I play without being on duty, I cannot, no matter what, even through the console, get a wanted level. No matter what, it auto clears, or when I did actually get it (before further attempts to get it all working changes it) I had NO cars chasing me at all, just helicopters. Ideas on the cause of this?
  3. I cannot find a list of new car names that have been added to the game, so I am unable to spawn any new cars through the console. Would be nice to spawn the new SUVs or the Police Push Bike?
  4. I have noticed that very rarely a police car or cop on foot patrol will walk by. I used the RDE builder to install World of Variety and RDE. I notice that most of each ones features are there, but not often at all. In fact I have only seen 1 or 2 cops in cars or on foot 'patrolling'. And nil push bikes. May be part of the same issue?
  5. I notice if I push the insert key I get a "Script shutdown. Must be an error in the xml file" error, which I havn't seen before nor know what the key is suppose to do in this instance?

 

Any help appreciated as I'd love to have this working to its maximum, and have a good understanding of its additions and changes!

1. There are too many things to note down, sorry. We wanted to release ASAP. Important things to note are: completely overhauled wanted system thanks to a custom script, integration of Arrest Warrant & Better Chases script, new agencies which spawn in correct jurisdictions (both ambient cars and peds, parked cars and during wanted levels), tons of new models and textures.

2. Maybe your trainer prevents you from having a wanted level? When you get a wanted level and nothing but helicopters spawns, make sure you have both Scripthooks and updated Microsoft .NET framework (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=53344) and Visual C++ redistributable (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145)

3. We have provided a Simple Native Trainer config file which adds all of the added vehicles to Custom Spawning menu. In order to obtain the names of vehicles, use OpenIV and go to mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\rde\dlc.rpf\x64\levels\gta5\vehicles\rdevehicles.rpf (similar paths for rdesheriff, rdefbi and rdeemergency) and look at the file names - they are the names you want for the console.

4. They are quite rare, you might have been unlucky.

5. Ignore, doesn't mean anything.

hey mate just wondering something. i can't find the policek9 line in vehicle meta. i changed the model in rde with open iv and the car is showing up as invalid model.

That's because there is no meta entry for it. there's just the model files. There's a reason I never included it in the trainer config.

so that model isn't changeable? im trying to change the model but it shows up ingame as invalid model.

You're free to change it, you simply can't spawn it as there are no meta entries for it anywhere. Only the model files exist as an easter egg sort of thing.

hopefully its added in the future as alot of modders make k9 vehicles. ive been trying for hours thanks for letting me know.

That's because LSPDFR backup (or CustomBackup for that matter) does not see highways as a separate response zone, but just as a part of the area they're in (LS City, LS County, Blaine County).

Right. If you want to have the Highway Patrol as backup just call the State Police or whatever it's set to be called in Custom Backup

Thanks for the response. I have confirmed that I have updated the Scripthooks, .NET and C++ requirements.

 

I don't use a trainer so not sure what is causing me not to get a proper wanted level. When I do get one normally in game, no cars spawn to chase just choppers. If I use the RHP console to force a wanted level, it automatically goes to zero once the console is closed.

 

Maybe I need a trainer to help set a level, although thought it would work independently. I've had OpenIv checked and it has its own ASI loader too, is there potential for conflict with OpenIV or LSPDFR to get this working initially, as I installed RDE after LSPDR?

 

EDIT: So I tried the new car models though the RHP console and I can spawn those.

 

Something obviously isnt right, I've tried to back track and re-insatll the OIV as well but get the same result - new models work, the script parts do not...

 

Ideas? :)

The TrainerV.asi loads and works, so the Scripthook and ASI loaders must be working ok.

 

Checking the Scripthook log it shows SixStar all loading and started, although the term [DEBUG] shows next to each line item.

 

However even with the trainer, RPH, etc. I cannot get a wanted level at all, unless I shoot a cop, but then they dont engage nor do any chase me.

 

Hard to tell if there are other parts not working...

Further testing...

 

Removed advancedhook and open all interiors ASI's.

 

Wanted level still auto clears, and if I go to a station and shoot cops, they want to shoot me, aim, but dont fire and then ignore me.

 

If I use 'chaseme' after forcing duty, I find I get foot officers who will engage me, but only ever one Police car will arrive (have had marked and unmarked though). So that was an improvement. However, once they are in range they automatically force the 'arrest' pattern, so my character cant drive and once on foot, starts to place hands behind their head. If I break out of the arrest, I can move and shoot however my hands get stuck behind my head in animation, and I dont see another cop for a long while.

 

Something else, maybe another script, seems to force clear me as wanted. Any ideas any one? Not sure what may interfering, as LSPDR isn't generally loaded either unless I use chaseme.

Try removing all trainers and scripts you have, I know for a fact that SNT has a Never Wanted Option that may be set to be always on. How chaseme works is up to LSPDFR and we have nothing to do with it.

Have removed the trainer and turned script loading off in Rage and still the same issue being nil wanted level. Also did a repair on the game as I initially didn't have a mods folder (RDE only mod that I needed it for) but hasn't worked.

 

A sticky one!

 

Realisticly though the features would still work for LSPDFR play but I couldn't get a wanted level if I wanted. If that's correct then at least I can enjoy the better AI, back up zones etc. As that was the point of the download.

 

Which is fine, I just like to go for completeness.

hi author, i downloaded your mod, but for some reason, no police vehicles spawn to chase you, i installed it like it said to do and i tried so much but nothing is working, the police units are not spawning, and its like driving on a road alone, no cops, no anything. Anybody help me please?
