Fps drop with gtx 960 4gb and i5 4590 3.3ghz

Featured Replies

im getting a random 10-15 fps drop while im on patrol and even when im off? is it lspdfr or a faulty graphics card? i just bought it about 2 months ago. im not maxing out my settings or anything its a 4gb card so 3.5 is usable. im barely using 2-2.5 gb. do i need to play with the settings or? its playable i just hate the random fps drops to 40 when its on 60-62 most of the time. im using the latest version of lspdfr and rage. ive reinstalled numerous times and still cannot figure out what the issue is.. any suggestions?

Are you using the Keep Calm plugin? Ever since the update I'm having the same issue, and I noticed that disabling that particular plugin minimized fps drops for me, maybe you should try that. As for the graphics driver update, I will try it out, but I'm not overly confident.

The new nvidia drivers are garbage. Roll back if you've updated. You might also benefit from going through all of your lspdfr plugins because some of them are causing issues.

If you find a solution to the problem, please do share it with us. It's pretty annoying, but I don't really wanna play without the KeepCalm plugin either.

yeah i understand. so far i think its just the NEW RAGE causing major fps drop. but my game runs at a crispy smooth 60-62 when in a regular game of gta but when i boot up the modded one it always hits 30 atleast once. kind of annoying lol. no solution found so far but ill keep trying.

well.. keepcalm is part of the problem.. it didnt happen as much or its not as noticeable at all. it didnt drop to anywhere near 40 this time just near 50-52 which isnt that big of a deal for me. ill continue to try to resolve it

Anybody know who the keep calm and traffic control modders are? i hope they update there mods soon so no big fps is lost. currently now i suffer slim to none fps drops at all because i deleted keepcalm.

Traffic Control and Keep Calm are both made by @Stealth22 and he's aware of this issue (and if he wasn't, he'll be as soon as he reads this, hey stealth!)

The problem is that both plugins worked fine for ages before this update and nobody knows what's wrong all of a sudden, so it will be difficult, if even possible, to figure out what can be done. I guess until then it's on us to decide what we want to break our immersion: stuttering or people panicking when we arrest someone. I for one, can't imagine to play without Keep Calm, so good luck Stealth!

I haven't noticed much in the way of performance drops, but my computer isn't the latest and greatest, so maybe I'm used to it, lol.

Like I said in the comment thread of Keep Calm, I'll see what I can do.

I unfortunately do not have enough free time to answer every PM that I get. For issues with my plugins, please post in the comments section of the file, or it's forum thread. You'll get a much quicker response from me there than if you send me a PM; I do my best to respond to every question in the comments sections. For API/programming questions, please post them in the API Development forum, so all developers can benefit from the answer as well. Thanks!
