Announcing the Coastal Callouts Beta!   I am very pleased to finally announce that Coastal Callouts is now in semi-public beta. To kick off the occasion, we have two new LSPDFR episodes from

It's damned if you do, damned if you don't. Release a mod early in its progress, and people complain that it doesn't have all the features they expected or that it has bugs. Release updates too often

  • Coastal Callouts has been in 'semi-public beta' since before 0.4 was even announced.  We announced our plans for the API for 0.4 and we're trying to release it, for free, to everyone, as quickly as we

I have gotten the beta version working with basic support for LSPDFR 0.4.1. I do plan to add much more integration with the new features as the LSPDFR API matures. In the meantime, I am continuing to develop the installer system and refine other details. My personal life has been very busy lately so my progress has been slower than I'd like, but it's progress nonetheless.

I can't wait to see the progress, and hopefully this is ready for release soon!

I've been waiting for this thing to come out for 3 years.... I mean come on, you already milked the living shit out this for long enough. Just release the semi beta to the public for now. Just so we have something to play with. I know how much time and effort goes into making these things and I know for a fact the plans you initially wanted to do should be completely done by now. It does not take 3 years to make a mod with some scripts.  My opinion right now is your just keeping the mod behind that benefactor thing to get money out of it.  At this point I'm pretty sure a lot of people are thinking the same. GTA came out on pc in 2015. Two months later we had LSPDFR. The point is it shouldn't take this long. You have something that is more than capable of being released but choosing not to because you want more money. You can keep saying you wont release it to the public because its not 100% finished. If thats case we wont be playing this thing in the next 2 years. Nothing is ever 100%, there is always more to be added. At the end of the day if you are just doing this for money then keep doing what your doing, but if your doing this for people in this community to enjoy your mod then release the damn thing.

Like it or not, regardless of the why's, PNWParksFan developed this mod in his own time and can do with it what he wants. If he doesn't want to release it (in the near future or at all), that is his choice.

Hey everyone! Thanks for your patience! I know everyone is eager to try Coastal Callouts and for it to be released. And I know some people have even voiced skepticism that it would ever be released. I can't commit to specific dates, but rest assured that Coastal Callouts will be released to the public, free of charge, for anyone to download, play, make videos with, and enjoy, in 2019.

As for an update on what needs to happen before release, the main thing I am working on right now is the custom installer. Now I understand some of you would prefer to just have it now and install it manually, but my mod my choice. The installation process is complex, even for people who've installed other mods before. I'd rather spend my time developing a good installer now, rather than spend much more time supporting everyone who can't figure out the manual install later. I will also be making a few tweaks after LSPDFR 0.4.2 is released to make use of some new additions to the LSPDFR API which will enhance Coastal Callouts. The DLC and callouts themselves are mostly ready, it's just a matter of wrapping up the little details.

I am also making some minor updates to my other mods, including Better EMS and Police Tape, for compatibility with Coastal Callouts. I am planning to release those updates at the same time as or shortly before Coastal Callouts, so everything will work smoothly together.

Thank you to everyone who has shown their interest in this mod through the course of its development! I excited for everyone to be able to experience this mod soon. and hope it will be worth the wait.

Are we going to see more posts as things get finished, or will there be one large post at release? @PNWParksFan

i have been so eager to see this come out so i can give some of my fans on youtube a treat. My grandfather was in the coast guard but died of diabetes and other problems and i want to live his legacy in lspdfr and finish the dutys he never finished. i understand how hard it can be to make a mod like this and i want you to know you have my support in this and i want it to be perfect. One thing i do want is a manual install included as a option along with the automatic install.

This logic doesn't make any sense to me. Any plugin (LSPDFR/RPH/SHV/SHDN) has full access to your computer, so it's practically the same as running an .EXE.
