Quick update: still working on this mod, it's gradually coming together. Most recently have been working on the AI to coordinate keeping track of all the injured peds and the responders treating them.

Alright it's past my bedtime. Reports are partially implemented but need some improvements still:

I'd go for this mod. Think it's a good idea if others liked it and would use it also. With suv emergency vehicles the first responder type thing comes to mind also for ems.

Sounds like an amazing idea. If I could, may I also propose an alternative (so you can have two scenarios) - the ambulance could either be dispatched from the hospital or it could be from the same firehouse as the engine/truck. Quite often I see them rolling together so I think it could be quite interesting to see them both together.

Sure, that could be an option.

LA City Fire actually sends their ambulances from the station, so they would arrive with the engine. Typically LACoFD will use a different ambulance company (In my area its McCormick) so response times would be different then. You're right though, almost everytime I've seen LAFD Medics responding, an engine is not far away.

I spent a couple hours today setting up so my backup.xml responds with fire trucks as well, I'll share if you want, but not 100% sure it works yet.

You might be interested in my custom backup mod when it comes out then. It should be released tomorrow or Monday!

Yeah, an improved paramedics mod would certainly be nice. Perhaps you could add what FinKone was doing before he gave up, stretchers and medical bags for the paramedics. Of course the most ideal scenario would be to be able to make the paramedics actually put the person on the stretcher if they can't revive them (and if not put, teleporting works fine as a workaround).

It would also be nice to see some improved animations from the paramedics and injured persons. For instance, if they're able to be revived they don't just stand up through the paramedic. Perhaps they could get in the ambulance themselves when revived? It isn't very realistic for them to just walk away after almost being killed by something.

There is one more thing that I could suggest but perhaps it can't happen. GTA IV did it best with injured persons I feel, how they would have some movement while lying on the ground to indicate they weren't beyond saving. It would be nice to see that implemented into GTA V somehow. GTA V, in many ways, is much better than GTA IV (especially regarding stability...) but I feel that's one thing it sorely lacks over IV, a better indicator of "how dead is this person?". Because as it stands, if you shoot them once anywhere but the head, they'll fall over. Then they'll get back up and if you shoot them again, they die. So yeah, it'd be nice to see an implementation of the way IV did it, if that is at all possible.

Ah'm orderin' you to STAHP!

This is an amazing idea. I find myself not using the EMS option simply because I hate the LSPDFR medics with a burning passion. This would make everything better and I might actually call ems when I "accidentally" kill a suspect.

Yep, totally want to see this.

In addition to turning over an arrested suspect to EMS, I'd like to see the ability to send non-arrested peds (who are still alive) with paramedics.  Perhaps there could be a chance of them refusing treatment as well.

And finally, to add some useful functionality: it would be great if your player could be healed whenever they walk up to an ambulance.

Yeah, I'm hoping to eventually implement some better functionality in terms of giving non-dead peds to EMS.

If you have the vehicle search mod installed, you'll get healed any time you search an ambulance.

It's be nice to have the ability to represent the Paramedic Assessment system for Engines, so we could have the chance of an engine showing up with a Paramedic on board. That's get immediate attention to injuries without having to wait for the ambulance, or just to have an additional trained person on-scene.

At least around here, all firefighters are at minimum EMTs, and every engine company has at least one paramedic. They do wear regular firefighter gear though, not separate medic uniforms. I will definitely have the firefighters start administering treatment when they arrive on scene, and then hand off injured peds to EMS for transport (if necessary). I'm looking into even spawning the hospital bed prop (closest thing I could find to a stretcher, I didn't see any kind of backboard props) and putting injured peds on that.

LAFD runs Paramedic Assessment Engines depending on the needs of an area, many times to add paramedic capabilities to a station without a full Paramedic Ambulance, or simply to add more capability, but many engines don't have a paramedic on-board. All LAFD firefighters are EMT trained, yes, and the Paramedic Firefighters are all fully trained in both areas (they'll wear the same bunker gear when the need arises, probably with markings denoting them as Paramedics).

It's just a detail that would be nice to at least have the option of; your initial idea is great already.
