Hello,

New here.  I just decided to install gta5 and am currently playing.  I was wondering if it was best to finish the game before installing this mod?  Does it affect the story if it is installed before finishing?

Any suggestions would be great.

I would highly recommend completing the game BEFORE modding it.

Especially with LSPDFR and such, there are various points in the game that cause random chases on the player or random interactions that can cause crashes when playing modded, along with various storyline adjustments to the game that don't interact properly with the world outside of those missions.

It's not always going to be an issue but in my opinion it's better to remove that issue completely by completing the game first.

I completed the game, and I could play LSPD FR fine, I lost my save and now back at the second mission and for some reason I die when I get to the top half of the map for the first time, and then its fine (until next time I play, then I die for the first time again). Not sure if that is due to not completing much of the story or not, but it started as soon as I lost my saved game.

But I think you should complete it first, it is a very good game.

I don't run the modification often, but I never bothered to complete the campaign and LSPDFR worked fine. I'd recommend at-least unlocking all the characters though.

Finish the game. It doesn't take that long to complete the core story, and there's a lot more to Grand Theft Auto V than just mods. You'll be a better player by having more experience with other weapons and vehicles.

Yeah. Play the game the way it was intended first. You only get one first play-through. Then you can mod the heck out of it afterwards. 

I read that title and thought it was going to be a rant about how modders should wait until rockstar stops updating GTA V XD

I completed GTA V on the PS3 so I didn't do the story again on PC because I already knew the entire plot. I haven't had issues relating to the story while playing LSPDFR (At least that I know us).

If you don't want to do it I guess you could find a 100% save game on gta5-mods or something.

I only did like 10 missions (276 hours played), yes you can play with mods before completing the story.

There's really zero reason to finish the story if you just want to play LSPDFR. You can just do the first couple missions, save, and use a trainer to reveal the entire map. If you use a mods folder and want to pick back up on the story without any mods, it's pretty simple to do.

Meh. I only ever completed the Prologue, and up to Unlocking Michael, and after that just Drove Around using Modded Police Vehicles.

I have 72.4% of my gta5. I have completed the story line I found out a way to download the LSPDFR on my Xbox one however it's not letting me play the mod. What am I doing wrong?
