How would that help if you want to buy a pc? Maybe I missed the update where PC manufacturers now send out free computers to test on that website?

He was responding to your comment on people who keep asking whether there PC can run GTA.

I doubt it will. If I told you my current PC can run GTAIV maxed out with an ENB with 100 FPS, would you believe me? I have a Radeon HD 4350, an AMD Phenom II 910 and 8gb of memory. Do you even know w

  • Is that even a PC? Regardless, can you post your specs please?

Aw hell naw. That thing will either blow up or implode when you play GTA.

I never said people ask that. I said people ask if the PC they want can handle it.

lol, thats exactly the same, whether their PC can run it is the same as whether they can handle it.

It's not their PC if they don't own it...

I've had so many people ask me if their crappy PC can run GTA IV. I won't even bother anymore, I'll respond with

"Their" insinuates, that they own the PC. I will not continue with this silly debate with you anymore.

EDIT: Sorry Nicolai, you ninja'd me. I agree. Back on topic.

I do not know what you wrote, however there's several reasons as to why members should stay clear of arguments of that nature, most CT members have experienced getting angry messages, or had their reputation abused, or otherwise harassed by disgruntled members, which is is a part of the job as a CT member, however normal members should not experience that as they should use the site, and enjoy it. It is not to invalidate your arguments or points, but the CT has to look out for their members, it is a part of what we do.

In an attempt to re-rail this thread:

As you may know, I want to get an HD 6850, but I hear it has texture dissappearing issues. Is this just a GTAIV problem, or is it the card? Is there any other Radeon card around the $150-$180 range that is even better?

Sorry if I am bothering anyone but this really will be the last time I post here. I am almost sure this is awesome computer!

With maybe 25-30 FPS on medium settings. In other words, just barely. Just keep in mind, if you wanna play GTA V, you're gonna have to put in new parts or buy a new PC.

How am I supposed to remember the specs... But yeah, I got you that for the minimum to run GTA IV. Anything of higher demands, you'd lagg out on.

Marine: The dissapearing texture issue is just a general GTA IV problem due to high poly count cars. I have a GeForce 570, and I had two Radeon 4890's before that and they both had the same issue.

limar: As usual, that computer isn't "awesome". It's mediocre, and that video card is going to perform poorly. It can probably run the game with the lowest graphics settings.

A question for me, my MB has a PCI-E 2.0 x16 slot, and I don't wanna get a GTX 550 ti (because it's nvidia), which is 2.0.

Not to derail the thread, but why do you have such hate for nvidia? I have that exact card and it has been nothing but great for almost a year now... Just curious as to why you dont want one.

Well, being a customer of AMD, as well as having bad experiences with nvidia cards and drivers, I lean towards the product that has never failed me.

I've own a GTS 250 (Zotac) and an ENGTX 570 (ASUS); and they never failed me. Whereas my friend is constantly complaining about his crossfire Radeons. I also own an AMD CPU, nevertheless, there is no sense denying that nvidia cards are superior; most people will confirm that aswell.

Due to the graphic nature of this post, reader discretion is advised.

They aren't "superior". They're equal in their own ways. Nvidia has horrible drivers and slightly underpowered cards for more money, Radeon has ok drivers with more power than nvidia cards for less money. AMD cards last longer (when it comes to playing games, they will last a few years). In the end, in my opinion, AMD has better CPUs and GPUs, but slightly better, but nonetheless, better.
