LSPDFR 0.3 Announcement + First Preview

Featured Replies

After a short break from the non-stop development of the first couple of versions of LSPDFR, we're really excited to officially announce the next installment in the series - LSPDFR 0.3.  As you might have come to expect, LSPDFR 0.3 takes strongly after its predecessors, introducing a big bunch of groundbreaking new features and gameplay.

With actually only a few weeks of development, it is amazing how far this next version of LSPDFR has come, and the extent of fresh, new content and possibilities that it offers.

You asked, we listened.  Arresting suspects has been drastically improved, especially with the brand new addition of interactive cuffing - no guns required!

With 0.3, we've taken the time to rebuild some of the core mechanics of the modification, particularly as it comes to arresting suspects.  With a brand new interactive system, you can now easily and seamlessly place stopped suspects in handcuffs.  The animations for this are incredibly fluid, as is the way in which the process works, with interactivity being a key component.  In 0.3, when you arrest someone, there's a very tangible feeling of control - a massive improvement from earlier versions where, due to a reliance on normal playback, it could often feel as though you had been taken out of the game as you waited for an animation to finish.

The Vapid Police Interceptor makes its LSPDFR debut in 0.3.  Well, with our entirely new and seriously powerful XML based backup unit customization, so does every other vehicle (and ped) in your game too!

We'll be sharing more about the features and changes in LSPDFR 0.3 over the next week or so, as we take a more in-depth look at what 0.3 brings to the table, including the full Downtown Police Station interior, amazingly improved interaction with suspects, and much more!

Have you been working on the multiplayer issues?

If you even play lspdfr on multiplayer your gonna get banned

You can't play LSPDFR in GTA Online. The RagePluginHook does not work in GTA Online, so I don't know what you are talking about.

With the implementation to change different backup unit's vehicles, does that also mean we can add extra vehicles to join in too?

For example, as it is right now only the two main vehicles spawn. The regular Stainer, and the Buffalo. Would it be possible to be able to have the aforementioned two vehicles as backup, plus the interceptor too? That car only spawns when the player is wanted, as well as the regular two units as well. Obviously Blaine county's equivalent would be the Granger sheriff vehicle.

I can't wait for this upcoming update! Also Sam, is it alright if you can add the F7 option to turn yourself on busy for callouts? That would be great if you can do that :) Cheers

It would be better customizable, as I have both map editor and bait car set up to that :P

Have you been working on the multi-player issues?

For it to not have multi-player issue's then it can't be run on rage hook, so therefore it is kind of out of Sam's power to make it to run on multi-player. Unless it run's on script hook, which is rather unlikely :P

I wish you could do something about the handling of the vehicles, because the police doing burnouts to start moving after stoping a red light isn't a good idea xD

There are a few handling mod's out there, look around :)

As it says in the original post, backup is customizable. That means that any vehicle or ped you have in an rpf file can respond as backup.

Sticks and stones may break bones, but 5.56 fragments on impact.

Thanks for answering my question. Maybe the people at rage can help fix the multiplayer problem.

What do you mean by, "multiplayer problem"? You can't go online while running the Rage Plugin Hook, so there shouldn't be any multiplayer issues at all.

I'm actually anxious for this update as well, seeing as I cannot play LSPDFR due to RageHook troubles, once the two finally work together I look forward to actually playing once more.

RPH not letting you go online isn't a bug or problem, they designed it specifically to prevent use online, presumably because they wanted to avoid people using it to run cheats and the like that have been a problem (from other script systems) for people trying to play GTAO.

I've heard that they've pretty openly stated they don't ever intend to make it online-capable... that said, I still have some hope that GTA-MP or something similar will get to a point where the RPH folks will work with it.
