Should be easier in V, and crashes are a thing of the past since it's a much more stable base game than GTA IV ever was.

It's as simple as, if you don't want it, don't install it.

Note : This video will demonstrate how ELS looks at night, in it's current version. It is still in ALPHA stage and it will be improved than how it is shown in the video. This will be the final video from myself until I feel ready to showcase the newer version in the future.

 

Please be advised that the ELS depicted in the video is far from the finished product and people should not expect final quality of the program and treat it only as a minor sneak peak + a chance to help us make the ELS better by providing feedback. The video is not meant to be a teaser, or to evoke high hopes from the members on the forum, and the audience, but rather to help you understand where the program currently stands right now, and how far we have left to go in order to deem it as a finished product.

 

The testers have opened access to the alpha version of the program for testing purposes only and want supporters to be able to see what they are supporting. Playing the alpha might be frustrating and tedious due to the bugs and work-in-progress content. There will be BUGS ! This is important because we do not want viewers to think they are seeing the final product when we are still just in alpha development.

 

Currently, be advised that the ELS program currently does not evoke AI drivers to pull over to lights and sirens. Also, you will notice that ELS does not auto-repair damage inflicted upon the vehicle the operator is driving.

The user will be able to operate all kind of sirens available in GTA V. This means, Wail, Yelp, Priority, Ambulance ( 4th siren slot that does not work in vanilla game version ) and airhorn. You will also be able to customize the siren slots -- for example, if you want your wail to use the fire truck siren instead of police car, you can edit the configuration to play the siren tone. If you want to change your air horn to firetruck horn, you can do that as well. You have the ability to tailor the siren options to your liking.

Sounds good. I hate how the GTA 5 system doesn't allow you to use the siren tone you want. You have to keep mashing the horn until priority plays

They have some bugs like vehicles do not move over when ELS is enabled. The development team has the mod in alpha and they do not know when it will be released. They want the mod to be as smooth and as bug free as possible.

That definitely sounds very promising. I really can't wait for this.

Also, the range at which those red and blues emit light, are they also from ELS or are they settings for visual-something.dat?

It's an ELS only feature, which is why it's gonna be so good when it releases. Basically it's a re-code of the lights, I guess you could say.

One I am excited for. The ambient lighting on V stock was disappointing for me.

Looks amazing, great video.
I noticed in a previous video the front strobes located in the blinker lights would make the ground light up... but in this video it's largely absent. Hopefully that hasn't been eliminated, those front strobe reflection off the ground really looked incredible.

At this time there are only 3 people on the ELS Testing team Me, PoliceWag & GravelRoadCop aka DrunkPolice. Those people have been selected by Lt.Caine him self for certain purposes in the development of ELS.

ELS will be released when it is finished.
