Crashing when I press shift

Hello, i have tried everything in the other posts about his and am still having the problem. Also if i play without using shift the game crashes randomly when im in a pursuit or any other call. Can someone please tell me what im doing wrong. Thx

Can you tell us what your RagePluginHook.ini file says for "PluginTimeoutThreshold? It might say PluginTimeoutThreshold=10000.. Change it from that to 60000. this will increase the time before a callout is terminated, and in this case RPH is terminating it because it's taking a while to respond and is forcing termination.

Try redownloading ragehook from their website.

You have a slimdx error in the log, you might try downloading and installing the end user runtime for 4.0 from here: http://slimdx.org/download.php

I have tried both of these options still no luck.

Yea it was at 10000 I changed it and am loading my game now to see if this fixes it

Still no luck. Im thinking it might be something to do with windows 10 not working with rage hook

Over the past month (possibly even when 0.2b released) many users have reported that the game crashes when they press shift. i believe that LMS is working on a fix for it (i could be wrong about that). So your best bet (if you can't find a solution) wait until 0.2c is released then this problem will most likely be fixed.

However if you have a controller, you can use that to do traffic stops which should work fine (i use a controller and it works fine)

LMS did say he is working on a fix in another forum. The crashing on shift started happening randomly to me the other day so I reinstalled LSPDFR and RPH which worked, if you haven't tried that, but if you have and tried multiple other fixes you might have to wait.

I had the same problem after upgrading to Win10 this morning.  I went and checked for Win10 updates, found and installed updates.  Everything works normally now.

Earlier I read a post by LMS whereby he said something to the effect that Win-10 upgrade left out some files...meta files or whatnot.  That is what prompted me to check for a Win-10 update, and what do you know...there it was.

I re-installed RPH and LSPDFR. No luck. I hope I don't have to wait for LSPDFR 0.2c.
