LSPD First Response 0.2a Update

I don't get the arguing. Lilrich offered his help with the retail version and it was excepted. In my opinion this is how a modding community should work. People help people to get things done.

Couldn't have put it better myself.

After reading through the replies to this topic, I don't think it's that simple, it's not arguing either, its just more of displeasure at the fact the developers of mods for Ragehook have not received any communication or coordination from the Ragehook project leader or whatever his role in the project is. Some of your comment is correct, modding communities should be working together, helping for things to be accomplished but the last few posts are pointing out how this is not adequately happening.

🕵️‍♂️ Always watching, always waiting.

Well said, lack of communication can tear a community apart.  It is extremely critical right now with both GTAV, LSPDFR and Ragehook relatively young many more updates will be coming out and communication at least between the last two is vital.  As we see now LSPDFR is at a stand-still while Ragehook developers sort out the last of the issues.  Yes i'm sure someones going to point out about back up and using an older version of LSPDFR but thats not the point.  In all developers are doing a fantastic job just need to make sure the right hand knows what the left is doing.

MulleDK19 just posted in his chat that the issues has been fixed and he's now preparing the download, shouldn't take long now :)

At the end of the day, this is simply bad news for people that want to play LSPDFR.  It means that we'll be downloading RPH at the same time you, and everyone else is.  We then have to compile the mod against the new version, give it a test, make sure everything's still working okay, and only then do we get to release it.

From what I understand, compatibility for the Steam version (which I use), has been there since early this morning.  If there'd been the foresight to recognize that developers of modifications using RPH might appreciate the opportunity to prepare their modifications for the latest version, then assuming everything did work, we'd be in a position to release an updated version of LSPDFR almost as soon as RPH itself was released.

Instead, we're left in the dark and being forced to find out information from other people.

"You tell me exactly what you want, and I will very carefully explain to you why it cannot be."

You're doing what you can with what you're given... which I gotta admit, doesn't look like much at the moment.

Nothing different.

You are correct, and to be completely honest I have lost just about all ambition to play LSPDFR at the moment, with the consistent updating, breaking, patching, installing then re-installing mods left and right its getting tiresome to track down everything and see whats updated.  Not to mention all the nasty comments people are making to plugin developers its just sad to watch.

You're going to be dealing with patches breaking mods till Rockstar no longer supports the PC version of the game. Probably not going to happen for quite awhile since they surely have more content updates and possibly expansions on the horizon for V.

It happens with every game that has constant updates. Mods always break and will till the devs don't develop updates for it anymore.

That is unfortunate news but We appreciate your work even if LSPDFR gets released later with a delay.

I personally do not mind  breakages and updates and  all the reinstalls. LSPDFR is in beta, after all.

Well, not all single player games force their buyers to update to play, im thinking about the same thing, i might drop playing GTA5 untill someone makes a "patch" that locks out all future updates needed.

Right now im just waiting for some online games to go into alfa-beta and when that happends i got no time for GTA and wont for prolly a few years, since i will be playing most of those after they release.

Library > Right click game title > Properties > Updates tab > Do not download updates.

Option got patched out long time ago on Steam. So that's outdated. You can only update now.
