I agree on marking the criminal part. you can easily lose the track of the car if it takes off on you without a chopper in the air. As far as police patrolling the streets look into the Law Enforcement improvements 1.8.

So I guess it's getting interessting today. The ill-gotten-diarrhea update is coming with fancy sport cars and other stuff, ready to break modding again :-)

I totally agree with this, although I have seen a cop car once in a while but if I follow it, it will just start chasing some car as a random pursuit. 

If Sam/LMS guys could just make it so police would normally spawn on the streets, not only would it add more realism as it would be a great help for us when chasing someone as the patrolling officers would join in, no need to call for backup.

Maybe. But i don't think so. It'll take some time to fix it. You always have to count with some heavy trouble. Then it'll take some more days to fix it. I guess Friday or Saturday.

Unless you're talking about LSPDFR it's self, the scrip hooks and such are fixed like within the hour they break so theres nothing to worry about.

Not strictly true. They were fixed within a few hours last time. This cannot be guaranteed with every single update as Rockstar could easily make a change that locks us out for longer.

There is no possible way to guarantee when the hooks will be fixed. Or how long it will take to then update any mods. I would therefore recommend that nobody makes assumptions and just waits for official information. :)

Exactly what I was thinking. The Ill Gotten Gains Part 2 update doesn't seem like it would break too much, but there's a lot of behind-the-scenes going on in these updates.

Of course I'm leaving Saturday for a week long vacation probably right when LSPDFR 0.2 will release. If it wasn't for the updates breaking modding I would be able to play before. But hey, at least we got LSPDFR so soon and Alexander blade can fix the Script Hook so quickly. Ragehook should be fixed pretty quick also.

That is enough for me. I'm pretty sure all of us would like to see law enforcement patrolling the streets, in LS and BC! So I think it will probably come sooner or later...

It's easier to do that via file edits (like Olanovs mod) than through scripts, so I recommend you try that first before holding your breath

Yeah, through scripts will be much more work so yeah I'll probably try that instead of having to keep waiting and waiting for LSPDFR to implement that 

is it possible to add beach patrol in the next version or near future? the lifeguard suvs have lights and sirens and it would be fun to do beach patrol..im not sure if they have arresting powers but you could detain them and call for a police unit or something like that

Lifeguard are there for medical purposes, not to enforce the law.
