Whatever I'm done I don't even care anymore

You're free to leave at any time, no one is stopping you.

To anyone else saying that they haven't gotten an answer from anyone official; It is done when it's done. We never said it was supposed to be released today, yesterday, tomorrow or in a week, or in a year. We have not released any date whatsoever for LSPDFR.

  • Guys, come on, we all know that isn't a real countdown.  You just used a trainer for it!

  • The anticipation is killing me.  Preparations going well so far, however...

Yeah well I have to admit, the Devs did a great job of teasing people about this. If they don't want the forums getting "burned down" or people breaking their keyboards, don't release updates that say "almost imminent" and such and then don't do anything and hide in a hole. At least update the banner up top.

Then it doesn't say "final countdown" but "almost imminent". The result is the same :-D.

I personally hope that there will be a countdown something like 4 days and 12 house left. Helps me to plan the release with my personal release checklist:

- Enough beer?

- Chips?

- Mobile Phone off?

- Headphones ready?

- Sure that theres enough beer? Is it cold?

- Pizza already ordered?

"Some say that the outline of his left nipple is exactly the same shape as the Nurburgring, and if you give him a really important job to do, he’ll skive off and play croquet."

Yeah, I agree with you that It hurts when you don't know things like "when actually it's been released" or even "what's even going on?with development?"

But just you know, LSPDFR is a complex mod and it has thousands of users; If they just release it without polishing it, everyone would go crazy about how broken the mod is.

But then again I agree with you about the final count down and all of that... I think It'd be good if sam or other devs update us regarding the progress, It'd be very awesome (P.S It's not their responsibility/job either cause we're not paying them for it :D ) but It'd be very great.

BTW the suspense is killing me too LOL

We have updated the progress of LSPDFR as good as we can for several weeks. 2 trailers, several screenshots, comments from Sam, LMS and others, and now the feature preview.

For all those that DEMAND it now - the RageHook is a public thing.  If you can do better, and faster... go make it. :|

Well said!

Im with you on this!

I don't mind waiting patiently. In fact, I encourage them to be confident of what they release disregarding any impatience of anyone. I have no idea how long they have been working on it already. But I recall looking on day of release of GTA to see if I could find any information, and there was already an announcement during the forum updating about future announcements. Thrills me, because GTA IV was total crap to me. The only reason I played it was because I was lucky enough to stumble onto this mod. Beside that I always played SA;MP and rp a bunch. We are a very long way from any rp servers to establish on a yet to be stable established platform to run them on. Anyhow I digress.

I didn't wanna sound demanding which I know I have. But I realllllllyyyyy wanna play I was hoping since I had a really bad day that this was some sort of miracle

Development of such a hefty mod takes time, testing and bug fixes take time. I would prefer that they take all the time needed to make this the best experience possible rather than quickly putting out a build that is full of problems.

After being on this forum for all the years that I have I can tell you right away that the devs would be bashed by the younger crowd without hesitation if something was buggy or unstable. even if they put "First Release", "Beta" in the tags.

I wonder how the pursuit AI would act.

I've just played the Police Mod by Dehan. The pursuits are okay. They are "only okay" because the backup drives like absolute assholes. When you are the first unit, they ram you and cause you to spin. The other backup units that are following don't even notice that you're in the middle of the raod, so some of them drive straight into you. Or when they are faster than you AND notice that you ARE there, they overtake and then.. ram you out of their way. <.<

So will LSPDFR's pursuit AI actually "see" you as an assisting unit? It would be awesome when some of the pursuing units were behind you, and some in front of you and all driving properly.

I think its because the A.I. dont actually see you as an officer, more like a ped. I tried the Dehan mod, and although its a good effort by a single person, it doesn't really serve its purpose.

I welcome his/hers? attempts but, i think i'll stick to what i know best...The LSPDFR team for anything Police related...;)

All you hare doing is creating additional pressure on the staff to do a rush job.  Its cancer.  It spreads to others, and makes the forums toxic, makes the admins work harder to keep it clean - and is just in general a poor way to represent yourself.  Everyone really wants to play, I get it.  Not even going to lie, I bought V on PC for LSPDFR and mainly the mods, but if you look at the time table for GTA IV vs GTA V in terms of over all mods being released, and things that can be done... we are moving way faster then we did in IV.

Tonight on French TV, they have a report about the Highway Patrol in California !! The same in the Futur next mod LSPDFR :D

I hope mod's coming in the next week ! or maybe tonight Lol x)

Couldn't have put it better myself! ;) ...Looking forward to it!

Couldn't agree more. I like his work too. It's pretty good for a single person who probably isn't very experienced. But I'll stick to LSPDFR too.

I kind of feel sorry for Dehan...All that work and then ALL will migrate to LSPDFR! - (Dehan probably will as well ;)

Anyone who creates/involved with a mod, my hat off to you, but this i'm sure will be something else, and well worth the wait, however long it be!

I think you could have left cancer out of this... but i dont think there being pressured. I just got my hopes and then they got let down its what happens when you post things like that

My favorite part is how now we can select which response for backup we want. It be cool if the code 2 backup can back you up on Traffic stops and wait till it's over.

I'll never understand entitlement, especially taken to these depths.  You see a man get called on something he knows ain't right, and he's likely to own up.

Here though we got some true next-level entitlement.  Fighting tooth and nail to prove he's the one been done wrong, and denying anything out of sorts is going down on his end.

Some folks in this thread still in diapers it seems.

I find this and similar topics (beyond this game, elsewhere) interesting. The following is mostly to those that it concerns, of course.

In essence, unless there is really bad developer work involved (whether commercial or non-commercial in nature), people are essentially creating discontent themselves for being impatient and then, more or less, unloading that frustration on the very people they are dependent on to play (get satisfaction from): The devs. I see it with other projects too, as I mentioned. It's done when it's done. Unless someone (devs) gives a CLEAR AND PRECISE date you can pin on your calendar AND then goes way beyond that simply due to clear mismanagement, then sure, go wild. I don't see it here and in other cases too. It's done when it's done. You can't get it sooner than when the devs think it's safe to release, mostly safe, or complete.

To those really impatient (hey, I'd like to play this right now if possible, just like you, but it is what it is), go play something else or come back later. Those that really are "angry" about it with comments like "I'M LEAVING!" (oh noes... 'dem threats) will probably download and play it later when it's out anyway. Whether the first version or any following version.

Anyone is free to decide what to do, what to play, what to support, etc. People have the right to dislike development and whatnot. What I personally dislike, however, is a specific aura of artificial drama or overblown things. Guess what? Compare with a guy getting angry and vocal that wants to play and someone that isn't (aka more relaxed or understanding) and also wants to play. The outcome? The same. It's done when it's done, but I'll save myself the trouble and negative feelings.

Something some (whether here or in general) should consider.
