LSPDFR Announcement + Preview

In Singleplayer, only the top floors are partially loaded. The basement is not. In Online the entire station is rendered and only the back doors are open.

About that is the LSPDFR team going to fix that like the whole station get's rendered in single player, and is it possible?

  • A trailer showcasing animations doesn't make for very good viewing, especially not for a first reveal.  Was it a normal cop chase?  No, every entity involved in the pursuit except the player was spaw

The noose vans with the guys hanging off is a cool feature. It is just like the fast-roping noose. The only problem is that if you played LCPDFR, you know shootouts were over within a few seconds, and by the time the noose trucks or rappeling noose helicopters would get there, if it was the same as LCPDFR, would make it kind of pointless. When you pulled up to the crime scene, a bunch of clones of the same model would all spawn on top of each other and shoot at you all with the same mp5. Would it not be much better (and rather easy for the people making LSPDFR) if when you pulled up to the scene the shootout was already in progress, and the suspects were spread around a neighborhood, all behind cover? Think about the fun you could have on Grove Street.

I'm not quite sure what kind of LCDPFR were you playing but apparently a bit different than mine, since I usually had shoot-outs last for a long time. It's up to players to choose whether to shoot everyone in the head or let it be played nice. So different backup units will allow different kinds of players to choose their playing style.

And in LCPDFR some shootouts were finished even before I got to the place.

I Cant believe im saying this but................................. K-9 Units XD. the ability to choose a dog as a partner & it be AN ACTUAL DOG not just some modded dog like in GTA IV where they walked funny & did some really weird things, but about NOOSE Invlovement, to me they would probably use Unmarked Buffalos, Steiners, & Grangers as chasing vehicles, using Police Riots as a backup would be more of a roadblock or shootout/robbery assistence unit. i was wondering because Fort Zancudo seems to be unkownly scripted, since it doesnt seem as they are scripted a police, or scripted as their own force, & the base has no real involvement ingame except for stealing a Cargobob before Merryweather Heist (and the fact its a jet despencer in GTA Online). but we need a better list of backup units to match the amount of units the AI will send against you in GTA V if your wanted, & a better system then GTA IV then logging in the computer for 20 minutes just to recieve a police cruiser that does nothing or never arrives.

What I remember from LCPDFR was pulling up to some alley where 3 or 4 guys that all look alike spawned within close proximity of each other and the whole thing was over in seconds. In V, if you go to Grove Street and start popping off, 20 or so gang members all come out of the woodwork, take cover, etc. That is the kind of shootout we need in LSPDFR. Otherwise, noose vans and helicopter fast-ropers won't really work since by the time they arrive, the thing is practically over. I think LCPDFR started to work on this in the later versions, but we need to cap the amount of cars in a pursuit. Everyone remembers having 30 AI cars flying down the Broker-Dukes Expressway all slamming into each other. The point being--LCPDFR was/is a great mod for a great game, but this is a fresh start that we all waited years for. Let's learn from our mistakes and make LSPDFR even better.

Quick question, will the mod be in any way affected by Rockstar banning online accounts for having mods? Rockstar said that if your GTA 5 client is in any way modified, even if it's just for single player, your online account will be banned. Here's the link: http://attackofthefanboy.com/news/gta-v-pc-mods-blocked-eula-players-banned-even-single-player-mods/

I haven't played LCPDFR for awhile and I don't know if this feature is implemented in the hardcore mode but it'd be nice if LSPDFR could make the player a lot more vulnerable to fire arms. Right now you can stand in the middle of the street and shoot at bad guys without being too concerned about your life because you know your character can take an unrealistic amount of damage.

That article is sensationalist BS written by someone who has no clue what they're talking about. R* has had that line in their EULA for years. Just about every piece of software with an EULA has that in the EULA. IV had it in its EULA.

Ah, I see. I kinda suspected that, I just wanted to make sure that my favorite mod would still be made :D

It isn't possible to assign wanted levels to peds.  The system is designed for players only.  Almost everything will need to be modded in this time around, GTA V has very little actual police AI.

What about the random events that are in the game? Could those be worked into callouts? If so, of the existing random events, there are 15-20 that would make for awesome callouts, like the gang fight at the motel, the stolen vehicles, and of course the suspects running away from the cops in the country. I think you and somebody alluded to this briefly a few pages ago, but could the "animations/scripts" for these random events with fugitives, etc. be able to be used as callouts in other parts of the map? For example, the shootout at the motel in the country, since it only occurs in one place be re-used at different locations on the map for callouts?

Also, there are several missions, (not as many as in GTA IV it seems since people complained about it) where you have to chase after someone. I am not 100% sure how it works but is the AI you are chasing simply tasked with fleeing the player? If so, it always seemed to me that the chases in missions worked better than chases in LCPDFR in terms of speed, agility, etc. In LCPDFR, suspects would circle the same block a few times, crash, get stuck, etc. Chasing people in missions was typically a challenge, and many times they got away, i.e. "I Need Your Clothes, Your Boots, and Your Motorcycle" and "Wrong is Right."

Speaking as someone who's failed those missions a few times, they generally have a preprogrammed route. It's LCPDFR that (I think) has them set to flee from player; the reason mission chases work is that they have a route mapped out.

Actually, this. I loved hardcore mode. Once I found out about it, I never went back. It's so much more fun.

Oh so it's already a feature of the mod, great !

I've just watched some of your video and it can be quite expeditive indeed

Makes me want to reinstall IV.

I wasn't saying it was a part of LSPDFR, yet, at least. I just meant that I loved it in LCPDFR and I hope it returns.

Never played much Hardcore, I though It was about buffing every AI weapon & spamming callouts but I could rarely get GTA IV to run w/o crashing once I installed mods & after about 20-30 minutes it crashed from "unexpected error, shutting down" so I rarely got to enjoy it, even then all there was was domestic fights or suicides & I wait for something exiting to finally happen, & when It did, everyone is either dead or doing nothing. I hope a better callout system will be implemented with more variety then 3-4 often callouts & 1-2 that never happen. Though I hope this mod adds to where Police Buffalos, Police Steiners, Unmarked Cruisers, Etc. Spawn just/almost as often as the Police Interceptor, cause its kinda stale being the only  Police Car that appeared naturally & others just parked or in secret/rarety. Being if the post arrest system were to return to the Take Suspect yourself or Call for Suspect Transport i know that the Prison Bus is obviously going to be involved. But callouts like Prison Escapes or Prison Bus Crash/Hijack wouls be kinda cool.

B.T.W. I'm serious about K-9 Units.

A good addition to the mod would be the ability to specify if responding backup officers need to wear the bullet proof vest  or not. I am unsure if this is possible.

Another animation I was thinking of is when officers are investigating a dead body. Will this be used? There is also an animation of the officers pressing on their shoulder mounted radio mic and talking into it, is this possible to use in a feature?

Judging from that pic, I'd say yes.

With LSPDFR would it be possible to have the option to chose between default GTA V Cop logic (where they execute criminals regardless of circumstances) and Realistic Cop logic (arresting people). Personally I'd like to live by the LSPD's "Obey & Survive". Just curious; thanks in advance.

Well with GTA IV we had the option in LCPDFR to "Toggle Lethal Force"... So I'd imagine that at some stage we'll be able to do this in LSPDFR. But I'm not a dev and I'm not sure how long that will take. Hope this helps :)
