The WWE Thread that totally reeks of awesomeness

Featured Replies

If anyone is interesting in WWE, what did you all think of Wrestlemania? We had the return of the Undertaker, HHH vs Sting, and Seth Rollins is the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion! I personally loved the Undertaker vs Bray Wyatt. The Undertaker has still got it, and hopefully we get to see him once more before he officially disappears. He's getting up there in age, but he's still got it. We also had John Cena vs Rusev for the United States championship. John Cena faithfully brought the title back to where it belongs!

By the way, if you don't watch WWE please don't bring bull shit to this topic like, "Oh WWE is fake, it's boring. Oh WWE isn't real acting it's dull. Oh WWE was so much better 20 years ago".

  • It was amazing. Best Wrestlemania in a while. Now we just need to see Undertaker VS Sting at WM32 :)

  • Only three days until its this time again!

loved it, thought it was a great show, the only downside was Takers match. Personally think the gimmick he used is outdated now especially after last years loss. He needed something fresh, EG the American badass biker style gimmick.  he also seemed off pace in the match.

Was gutted about the Lesnar loss as hes the reason i still watch it.

Other than that though great show, lived up the Wrestlemania Hype

I do agree. The Undertaker did seem a bit slow paced during the match, probably because he's like 55 lol. Either way I was still excited to see some old school moves of the Undertaker, I only wish they would have done it at night. The entrance would have been 10x better.

I was as well. I'm honestly just glad that Roman Reigns didn't get the title. I think he's a bit cheesy. Speaking of cheesy, this brings me to John Cena. While I respect the hell out of what John Cena stands for and represents, I think the WWE is trying to shove him down our throats. I'm just glad the Russian Rusev is probably gone for a while. Unfortunatly I missed Wrestlemania, I had to look at YouTube videos LOL.

I do hope I'll be happily surprised though, because I wasn't too excited about the whole match card.

I only saw bits and pieces of it, I missed it as well. I won't say anything to spoil it for you, but I will say that it was awesome. I need to watch it again too.

Yeah night time would of added abit more to it. Taker just seemed like he wasn't the "deadman" Taker we all know.  I mean entering into fist fights with Wyatt , staggering all over the place. Taker is the best striker in the WWE, it just didn't seem right at all.

So am i, Reigns is very cheesy, not really ready in my opinion for the massive push WWE have given him.  I have never been a Cena fan, hate the guy well the character, outside of WWE hes great from what ive seen, just i don't like the character. On the other hand, im really disappointed that Rusev didn't win, i love seeing what WWE comes up with next in that saga. The entrance at WM was fantastic, with the tanks and the Russian Soldiers. It just makes for classic WWE viewing , which it has lost over the past few years.

Yeah your right, Batista say in a Interview a year ago, Vince will Push Reigns to the Sky. And the fans will Boo him like they thit with Cena. Reigns is Cena 3.0 and Bryan is Cena 2.0 but the diffrent is Bryan can Wrestle and the other two can't.

But i say it now, in 1 or 2 years the fans will Boo Bryan too.

Best Decision in the Buisness

I've finally watched it, and man was it great!

I'm glad they made the IC championship match a ladder match. It actually reminds me of when the MITB ladder match still took place at WM and didn't have its own PPV. I thought it was too short though; with such great talent, they could have made this an even more interesting match. I must also say I didn't really expect Bryan to win it, but I think it was a good decision to award him the title. I don't like the guy, or at least his character and I hate the whole Yes Movement, but he's a fan favorite and he'll help make the IC title mean a little more than it has been for the past 4 or 5 years.

I didn't expect the Triple H vs. Sting match to come so early. The Game's entrance was quite a surprise and didn't feel as good as his previous ones, but was still pleasant to watch. What was supposed to be a battle between two great wrestlers soon turned out to be the return of the Monday Night Wars, 14 years after the WCW was beaten and bought by the WWE. It was good to see wrestling legends make a comeback either as part of DX or the nWo, but that's not what I had expected. And it looks like it put an end to the HHH-Sting rivalry, which means no rematch at Extreme Rules, or whatever.

The "concert" wasn't a complete disaster, so I guess that's a good thing. I'm not a fan of the artists' music, but that kept me entertained. At least we didn't have to endure watching the Funkasaurus and an army of grandmas dance to some awful music.

Then came the Divas match, and I think it set a new record for the longest Divas match at WrestleMania since... well, a very long time, at 6 minutes 42 seconds! Just kidding. Seriously though, I don't understand why Brie was included in the match, because IIRC, she wasn't even tagged in once.

I won't say much about the Cena vs. Rusev match because the outcome was no surprise. Cena once again overcame the odds and ended the Russian Brute's undefeated streak, winning his 15782th championship since his debut. What a hero for the American people! (lol) Anyway, Rusev received far more applause from the crowd than Mr. Superman and no one gave a sh*t that he'd just taken the US title from the hands of the Evil Russian, saving us all from an imminent invasion, and that was very comforting. After a 3-minute propaganda-like video, I thought, so much for that wasted effort.

The promo that ensued was awesome! It was lengthy and it took The Rock quite some time to answer back, but it was well worth the wait everytime because I laughed my a** off! I had expected a Triple H vs. The Rock announcement since that promo at the 15th anniversary of SmackDown in October, and I thought this was gonna be it for WM 32 in Arlington, Texas. I guess I was wrong.

Wyatt vs. Taker. Well, it was nowhere near as awesome as HBK vs. Taker at WM XXV, but it was still okay. The Undertaker has still got it, but he's lost a lot. In my opinion, he should have retired after WM XXVIII. His match against Triple H was awesome and he really delivered. It would have truly been the end of an era and he'd still be undefeated at WM. Don't get me wrong, I like The Undertaker and I was happy to see him return to the ring one more (last?) time, but let's face it, he's not the Undertaker we used to know anymore. He just shows up every year with a different haircut for a match at WM, and then goes silent for another 11 months. Who knows when and how it's gonna end? Plus, the streak no longer means something, so who'll dare challenge him next year? Sting? I don't think so.

The main event was far better than I expected it to be. During the first minutes of the match I thought we were gonna see a replay of the SummerSlam 2014 main event, with Rollins portraying Cena (suplex city, y'know). I was so absorbed that I had completely forgotten that Rollins would more than likely seize the opportunity and cash in his MITB briefcase to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. The finish was superb!

I really enjoyed it.  Raw the night after was pretty epic as well, at least for the first half of it - the 3 hours is too long.

I see they're in Austin Texas next for Raw next Monday, then London on the 13th.  I'll be there, got floor seats.

Now what do you all think of John Cena having a surprise return as the old school, "bad guy" John Cena? Remember way back then when John Cena came out rapping, and he was a complete bad guy? He was disrespectful, always wanted to beat ass and he was acting like some sort of gangster.

How do you think the fans would react if John Cena came back like this one day? I feel like he'd lose the support of all the little kids and women, but there is also a slight chance he might gain some of the older crowd back. I'm not sure since WWE is going all PG now though.

i haven't watched it either but i did watch the Hall of Fame and i was sooo disappointed :( every year they add morons to the list and it makes no sense. plus, after all the issues regarding Randy Savage's inclusion, they have his weird brother eulogize him with a freaking boring poem. fans deserved so much more after waiting all this time for his truly worthy induction. Rikishi in the Hall of Fame? that was a joke..give me King Kong Bundy over him any day!
