PETA makes the smallest things molehills, and uses those to hide their own wrongdoings, ranging from killing chickens in COD, and the rat in Battlefield 3, they've really lost their reliability. I'd say they are the smallest of problems here

If they are in the game, you will probably be able to. I don't really see an issue with it, although I'm a big animal lover and I have 3 dogs myself, in a game where you kill people, killing animals shouldn't be that big of a deal.

On top of that, it has never been scientfically proven, that people who play games which involve killing people/animals are more agressive or will transfer it to real life. In contrary, some experiments have shown, that playing violent games can reduce agressions over the long term and gamers, while generally emotionally immune to videogame brutality, react emotionally as strong to real life violence as people who don't play videogames.

That's an utterly retarded argument, do you really think anyone gives a crap about killing animals in a game where you slaughter people? I don't think so. You can take as example CoD: Black Ops, they have dogs in multiplayer and not a single fuck was given by gamers - It sold well nonetheless. Now considering CoD is as big of a successful title as GTA is, I don't think if they add dogs will make a considerable change in the revenue they get from selling the game. It's already rated M / Pegi +18 / USK 18 - What should keep people from buying it?

If they add kids, which would be a no-go for everyone, I'm sure people would stop buying the game / it would get banned by the government, but animals are worth the same if not less than a human being, which for me and probably 95% of the gaming community, makes it okay to kill animals in a game where you can kill people.

Well that won't change hehe. As for Battlefield 3 Back in Karkand they voted NO to civilians in the game. They were debating whether they should or shouldn't have civilians running in BF3. But they don't and they say just go to GTA for that kind of 'crap'. Well, here we have it. The gaming of this won't stop. There's no law out there that say we can't. And if there is, it will just be blocked from some countries...

Oh yeah I know lol. Well I am still looking forward to pets in GTA V. Hopefully in cut-scenes :D

They will most likely be in there because they showed it in the intro, but if anything they will put them in the cut sceens if they are to lazy to put it in the actual game.
