1.0d is great! best update yet..  I love the marine pursuits. The only problem I have are the SirenStrobeLights not working for me. I am playing on a clean installation with no car mods and also I have enabled them in the settings file, but when I go in game only the sirens light up.. no head and tail lights wig wags... can anyone help?

  

They only work when the headlights are on (at night or if you turn on the highbeams during the day).

Can anyone explain to me, how I reload my settings or changes so that they show up in game? When I upgraded to this update and was setting it up in the config. it said "type reloadsettings" to make effects take place. I tried typing that in the computer in the car and nothing happened.

No, you type it in the console which is opened by pressing ~ on normal qwerty keyboards.

Guys, what is the difference between the Auto Installers? the second one is listed as 'Alternative'?

 

Oh and thanks for the new update, going to try it and see if it runs better for me than 1.0c did which was constantly crashing. Hoping that this one sorts that out!

One is with advertisement for those who wishes to support LCPDFR.com via that method. The other 'alternative' installer does not have advertisement.

The alternative does not include the advertisement that is in the normal installer. The extra ad you see when using the normal installer will contribute to keeping this website and the mod alive.

Just wanted to say thank you for the work you are doing with this mod! I found out about it only a few weeks ago and since then I'm playing LCPDFR almost every day. :D I still have some general GTA 4 errors/crashes now and then and got a list of other mods to instally/try out (like ELS). But I'm taking my time to fix all the problems and try every feature your mod and related mods have to offer. I hope I'll become more active in your community as well. :) Anyway, 1.0d was a great surprise. Cheers!

Working really well for me so far, just played for an hour or so with no crashes at all. For some reason I managed to b0rk up the install to EFLC but the install into Vanilla GTA IV is running sweet, I'll worry about getting it to work with EFLC later.

 

Has anyone tried ELS v8.0 with this yet, any issues? Tempted to drop in my favorite DD British Police Car Pack but going to hang fire until someone else tests it and ELS first!

I want to try this so bad. I would re-install IV for this if people can confirm it crashes much less. It's too much trouble to install IV and get it to launch to have it crash due to LCPDFR.

I had loads of issues with 1.0c crashing but this new 1.0d update is working perfectly for me, played for over 2 hours with not a single crash. Worth trying it m8!!

Loving the new LCPDFR1.0d 100/100

Now we just need a ELS update, and the experience will be perfect! :)  Having some small crashes sometimes, but mostly related to ELS vehicles i recon :) Awesome LCPDFR!

If you need support for crashes, please check the LCPDFR Support section for solutions, then make a new topic in that section if you can't find a solution.

i have also installed the update and i had one crash in 2 hours; HOWEVER, once a crash happens the game re loads by itself and returns you to the exact spot the crash happened :) no more going to the police department to re uniform after a crash. so now even if i get a crash its no biggie. it booted up by itself and returned me to the airport where the game crashed and my squad car was sitting right there waiting :D

No issues, amazing. HATS OFF! And wow, I have my laptop for months, patrols, fun... but old a bit) Same thing, no updates to any mods I use. I lost access to my laptop for 2 days and flipping 1.0d comes out.

I did that unintentionally because i always go through the process of installing GTAIV, ENB and ELS at the end.  I let the set up copy and replace whatever it uses.  Usually..... it works just fine.  But the updates to these mods are a bit further apart this time around.

 

And i experienced frequent crashes with the older ELS AdvanceHook..  After 5 straight early game crashes,  I reviewed the installed files and fixed it by having the updated AdvanceHook from 1.0d.  (which should have been there in the first place.  my fault for sticking to my own lazy install routine.)

 

-Some incorrect info and confusing details removed from post!  

 

Hopefully you can find a solution with the updated files of the game.  But GTAIV is such an oddball that maybe it will work for you and not someone else.  

 

Still i wouldn't recommend it.  If you do it at your own risk,  always have a back up in place.

Is anyone else having these issues.

 

-Game crash when arriving on scene for any call that may involve shooting?

 

-Not being able to deploy taser?

 

-Not being able to pull people over?

 

Hoping a patch comes out for these issues... the 1st and 3rd issue

You're going to want to use the AH copy packaged with 1.0d; that should include all features ELS needs (if it didn't, the symptom would likely be a crash, not just something not working). If there are bugs, please create a support thread about it.

The difference i found using the ELS 8.0 AdvanceHook 0.2.9.0. is a lot more crashes and usually near the start of the game when attempting to go on duty... (LCPDFR 1.0d uses 0.3.4.0.)

You have those versions wrong. AH 0.29 was in 1.0b; ELS 8 had AH 0.33 (0.29 will not work for ELS 8, and will likely crash, which is the normal result of using a wrong version of a native DLL). 1.0c introduced AH 0.34; 1.0d uses .38, and you need to use the newest one.
