Awesome pack. They look absolutely superb in-game. I don't think all the vehicles are showing up for me though but hey, I like what I've got. Well done, keep up the good work! I had to use a different gameconfig.xml as described above as my game was crashing during loading. Working perfectly now though.
  1. Hi, I verified the game cache within Steam and it looked like it was re-writing some files but upon starting the game back up afterwards, the British Police car models are still there unfortunately. Looks like I'm going to need to reinstall everything from scratch unless anyone else can chip in with a solution? Don't suppose anyone has a backup of their vehicle model folder available for sharing?
  2. Thanks guys, yeah, its the Steam Version I have. If I verify the game cache and that gets me back to default vehicles will I need to reinstall LSPDFR? @0taku - Point taken my friend, I know I should have backed everything up prior to changing things, I wish I had. I always did with LCPDFR and GTAIV, but this time I neglected to do so. My bad. Lesson learned.
  3. I have been running the British Police Pack for a while but I want to return to the default police vehicles. How do I do that? Like a fool, I didn't back up my original files/folders prior to installing the British pack. Am I screwed or is there a way to return to default police vehicles? Thanks.
  4. Thanks guys, I'll give them a shot. Do they differ from the CryENB V2? Only mods I'm running in conjunction with LCPDFR is ELS v 8.0, DoubleDopplers British Essex Police Pack vehicle and ped skins and TrafficFlow to fix the taxi bug that the high poly models in the Essex Police Pack cause. I didn't remember and save the logfile when the game was crashing with CryENB V2 but if any of the above cause issues I'll grab a logfile this time.
  5. Ok, back to the drawing board - I installed CryENBV2 and it appeared to work ok within the game until I activated LCPDFR. It then immediately gave me the 'LCPDFR has encountered an error.......blah,blah,blah' message every 5-10 seconds. I've deleted my GTAIV folder and replaced it with a backup to get rid of CryENBV2 and go back to 'vanilla' graphics. Pity, as it looked pretty darn good.
  6. Hi, The requirements are contained within the accompanying PDF file documentation for LCPDFR which you will find in the download folder. For reference these are the listed requirements:- So yeah - You need the full game (either digital downloaded via Steam or something similar or a hard copy on disc) in order for LCPDFR to install and play correctly. I'm not actually sure what constitutes anything but a 'full game' to be honest!
  7. Ok, thanks. I'm going to backup my current GTA IV/LCPDFR installation folder as its running very well with very little in the way of crashes or issues. I'm just wary of adding more mods to it in case I break something. I'll give one of the ENB's available a go, can anyone recommend one in particular? Specifically one which will work well with 1.0.7.0?
  8. Hi folks, Just wondering if anyone has any of the various ENB's/Ice-Enhancer etc running well without any issues in conjunction with LCPDFR 1.0d? I've got a fairly healthy spec PC and as far as the standard settings for graphics in GTA IV are concerned I've got them maxed out as far as I can tell. But looking at some of the screenshots here on the forums I can't help but think my graphics don't look as good as other peoples? My system is:- Intel i7 920 D0 overclocked to 4.0Ghz on an Asus P6X58-DE motherboard with 16Gb Corsair Vengeance RAM. GPU is an Asus 760GTX Direct CU II O/C card. I game on an Acer 24" LCD screen at 1920x1080. My GTA IV is installed via Steam and is patched up to the latest release, 1.0.7.0. As I say, sometimes I look at my visuals and think the textures aren't as sharp as they could be and a lot of the straight lines look really jagged to me. FPS wise I can't complain, runs smooth as silk. Any ideas as to tweaks I can try to improve things or has anyone got any recommendations as to what ENB type deal I could make use of but one which won't cause any issues with LCPDFR? Thanks in advance for any info!
  9. Traffic-Flow works ok to solve the Taxi bug but it has the side effect of making the game less stable and more prone to crashing, at least on my install it does. I removed all of the Essex vehicles, peds etc and when back to default vehicles then added in a couple of the Essex cars and so far no taxi bug so I'll stick with that and ditch Traffic-Flow for now. Prefer less crashes and more stability.
  10. Thanks m8, awesome. I'll give Traffic-Flow a go now.
  11. Many of the current AV's detect LCPDFR files as False Positives. Solution is to disable your AV until you have both downloaded and unzipped the file and also whilst it is installed. Then feel free to turn your AV back on. Personally I always disable Avasts shields when I play any game and just switch them back on when I'm done playing.
  12. I finally managed to get ELS v8.0 working with 1.0d, not really sure what the issue was but after a reinstall and a careful double check of the correct files being present it finally works without crashing or giving me the error message at the very start of the game recommending I restart LCPDFR. However, after installing Double Doppler's Essex British Police vehicle pack I'm now getting the so called 'Taxi Bug'. I understand this is because I may have too many high poly models in there, is there a workaround for this in 1.0d? After searching the forums it looks like installing 'Traffic-flow' fixes this but question is has anyone tried Traffic-Flow with 1.0d? I'd prefer to run as 'vanilla' a copy of LCPDFR as possible without resorting to more and more add-ons. I'd be happy with just ELS and a few of DD's UK police vehicles but this Taxi Bug is rather annoying.
  13. Can confirm these work fine with 1.0d and ELS v8, nice job DD!!
  14. This might be a daft question as I'm new to LCPDFR but does this pack work ok with 1.0d?
  15. Guys, has anyone tried ELS v8.0 with 1.0d yet? Does it work or does it cause any issues? I'm tempted to try it but I'm wondering if it would be better to hold off for now in case it b0rk's my install which is running nice and stable so far.
  16. Hi there, I had loads of issues with 1.0c crashing but this new 1.0d update is working perfectly for me, played for over 2 hours with not a single crash. Worth trying it m8!!
  17. Don't want to speak too soon but 1.0d is working brilliantly for me thus far. I've got no further mods or additional models/vehicles installed as yet so time will tell. But so far, looking good.
  18. Working really well for me so far, just played for an hour or so with no crashes at all. For some reason I managed to b0rk up the install to EFLC but the install into Vanilla GTA IV is running sweet, I'll worry about getting it to work with EFLC later. Has anyone tried ELS v8.0 with this yet, any issues? Tempted to drop in my favorite DD British Police Car Pack but going to hang fire until someone else tests it and ELS first! Thanks Dev Team for an amazing mod and incredible update!
  19. Excellent, thanks for the info guys. Going to have a bash at installing it now. Excited!!!
  20. Guys, what is the difference between the Auto Installers? the second one is listed as 'Alternative'? Oh and thanks for the new update, going to try it and see if it runs better for me than 1.0c did which was constantly crashing. Hoping that this one sorts that out!
  21. Tried again tonight, this time I edited the ELS.ini and switched of the Ai ELS for both SP and MP after reading a few threads here. Not made any difference though, still crashing. Having said that, the last three crashes this evening have happened once I've stopped a vehicle and my character is out of the car on foot. Last crash just now was just as I arrested a driver, just as I went to put the cuffs on him. Would really appreciate someone taking a look at my error log, I can't work out what the issue could be although I do see a critical error listed in there. Just played again and 2 mins from driving away from the police station whilst in the car, the game crashed. Going to delete the entire contents of my GTA IV and EFLC folders within my Steam folder and start again, this time without the ELS mod and the DD British Police car pack.
  22. Thanks, but I've tried installing to both the default GTA IV folder and the EFLC Folders. No dice, still get crashing. Also - Forgot to mention my CPU is an i7 920D0@4Ghz and I installed GTA IV via Steam, not sure if any of that will have a bearing on anything.
  23. Hi folks, First of all, I'm loving LCPDFR so far. The concept alone is addictive, so props to the dev team for doing a great job. However, I'm finding I'm experiencing random crashes which are incredibly frustrating. I've no idea what is causing it and wondered if someone could take a look at my log files which I've attached. I'm running the game under the following system spec:- Windows 8.1, Asus P6X58D-E, 16Gb Corsair Vengeance, Asus GTX 760 Direct CU II GPU. I've installed LCPDFR in the EFLC folder and I'm playing from there as I read here on the forums that EFLC can be more stable in running LCPDFR. I'm installed using the Auto Installer and used dsound rather than xlive. I'm running ELS v8.0 and the only other extras I've got in there are two vehilces from Double Dopplers DD IV British Police Pack. There's no real pattern to the crashing as far as I can tell. I can start the game fine, activate LCPDFR and enter the police station. Emerge from station and select vehicle. I then can drive around for 5-10 mins and activate ANPR. Can usually stop a vehicle or two and arrest a suspect driver etc. Sometimes it crashes before that, sometimes after. Like I said, random. Would appreciate anyone who has the time to take a look at my log files and see if there is anything in there which would be flagging up an issue. Log files below:-
