As the title of this thread suggestions, this is a discussion about your favourite fictional characters. These characters can be from anything, TV shows, movies, comics, games, etc. 

 

When listing a character, please provide their name, a brief (or in-depth, up to you) reason for liking that said character, what TV Show/Movie/etc they are from and anything else you'd like to add. You're welcome to debate certain characters if you dislike them for whatever reason but abusive posts will not be tolerated.

 

I'll start.

 

 

My favourite character is Yui from the anime TV series "Angel Beats!". I like just about everything about her, from her cute voice to her tomboy personality. Yui is extremely energetic and some people find her quite annoying because of this, not me though. Yui is paralyzed from the neck down in the real world, which explains her hyperactive personality in the afterlife.

In this scene Yui accidently chokes herself to death while trying to demonstrate her singing abilities. It's silly stuff like this that made me like her in the first place.

And no, she doesn't actually die. In the afterlife you can't die so to speak, it just hurts like hell and you pass out.

although i have a fair few favourite characters.. i normally have about 3 for every show i watch (depending on how many characters there are in the show). but here are 3 characters i like.

 

Senior Sergeant Tom Croydon (Blue Heelers) - I like him because of his outlook on policing "police work is people". He is a firm, but fair cop who has a heart and will throw the book at an offender if he has to. if i was to ever be a cop, i'd most likely be like his character. 

 

Gil Grissom (CSI: Las Vegas) - I like him because he is just a unique person/character.. I don't think in the history of Forensics that there has been a Forensic officer who will taste a foreign substance or keep a dead pig fetus in their office. not only from that.. but his personality is unique and different which i like aswell.

 

Batman (From any form of Batman media) - Just because he is badass!

 

Well, as you could of probably guessed by my profile picture. Pete Malloy. I like his character in Adam-12, he's more of the experienced veteran, but isn't one of those hard ass cops, like Harry Callahan. Not to mention, this is like the only TV show I watch.

Why's Pete giving the two fingers up? Those are the first things that'll pierce Jim Reed's rectum. When Pete's around, there are no "hard-asses".

Anyways, gotta give my vote to The Super Cops, Dave Greenberg and Rob Hantz

Uggh, this is a hard one. Most likely it's 

 

 

Mainly because he's quite the interesting person, in many ways. X-Files was the one series that really got me hooked, and interested in paranormal phenomena. There are plenty of other series out there, but few were as good as the X-Files. So, Fox Mulder it is. Feel free to disagree, but the chemistry between Mulder and Scully was something out of this world at times. Just amazing stuff. 

Niko Bellic. He is my favourite.

*cough* Rias Gremory *cough* Unfortunately I don't watch any TV shows (other than anime, of course) so I have nothing else to go on. If I did have to pick one outside my obsession it'd be Homer Simpson and Philip J Fry as both characters are hilarious. 

 

Adding another character to my favourites.

 

Kurumi Tokisaki from the anime series "Date A Live". Nicknamed "Nightmare" and for good reason, Kurumi is rather terrifying. While in her spirit form, she can control time and shadows, create multiple copies of herself and morph through objects. Nightmare kills people for fun and consumes whatever is left to raise her mana. I like her because she's attractive (looks can most definitely kill in Kurumi's case), her abilities are stunning to watch and well, she's just an all around badass. Did I mention that I love heterochromia, twintails and lolita fashion too? Yeah.

1st) Harry Bosch, former homicide detective, and detective in the "Cold Cases" squad, LAPD.

2nd) Arson, Vice, Homicide, Traffic, Patrol and Burglary (Cut from game) Detective Cole Phelps.

A powerful witch, otherwise just a next-door beautiful and wise seductress who appears (and happens to be the kind-of protagonist) in the anime show xxxHolic. I saw quite a few episodes of it until, unfortunately, it was discontinued in our country leaving cliffhanger... :cries:

 

Man, I'd love for her to exist in reality. I'm a die-hard fan of her wisdom (and her seduction skills).

Rei Ayanami, of course. Never understood how can anyone need Asuka when there's Rei?

I prefer Asuka's aesthetics over Rei's, granted her personality is horrible (tsunderes gonna tsun tsun) though.

I'm really struggling with this. There have only ever been 2 characters who have made me really enjoy something.

Yup, Pagan Min. This glorious antagonist knows how to do bad ass. If you haven't played Far Cry 4 and intend to, click away now. I cannot guarantee this is spoiler free.

 

Pagan has a very interesting attitude, he isn't a psycho like Vaas was back in FC3, he isn't the stereotypical "I will take over the world" kind of bad guy like you usually get. He's smart, he's funny and he is so damn relaxed at everything until you do something petty, then he's pissed.

Clark Gregg - Phil Coulson Agents Of Shield, Avengers etc. Mainly because I love Marvel films and I think his character is pretty funny.
