Do You Think GTA V Will Be Easier On Computers in Terms of Graphics?

Featured Replies

Let's face it... the port for GTA IV is absolutely terrible. Whenever I play it, my computer sounds like a Boeing 747...and I spent quite a bit of money on my PC. I know there is no certain way to tell yet, but do you think GTA V will be easier on computers in terms of graphics etc.?

Altohough no official Specs have been released by Rockstar Games, we can't say yes or no to the "will my computer handle GTA V" questions, however since the massive overhaul in the graphics for the next-gen release the required specs will be pretty outrageous.

If your computer is making a loud noise while playing GTA 4 then it's either a processor or graphics card problem, if you even attempted to launch GTA V with your current system.. it will most likely cook your PC.

Alrighty, just a question for Sh%ts and giggles. I really just wanted to see what other people are speculating, due to the fact that I don't know squat about computers. I'll probably have to look into buying a new CPU then lol.

I already know that my laptop is on it's last leg from playing GTA IV. I can only imagine what GTA V will do to it.

The two last Rockstar's games for PC(LA Noire and Max Payne 3) was an excelent port, so i expect it will be run nicely on my computer... Not on Ultra i think, but at least on high will be fine.

If you can run Assassin's Creed Unity, you can run GTA V.

I think you get the joke.

Error 404: Joke not found

Are you referring to the insane minimum requirements for Unity?

Honestly, if you can play GTA IV *moderately* you'll probably be able to GTA V. GTA IV is probably one of the worst PC ports in a very long time so it runs shit on ANY computer.

GTA V for PC will probably be less of a port and more of a revamp. I feel like they'll be paying a lot of attention to the game, and definitely optimizing it.

I really hope that's the case ^

But anyway, I'm not optimistic of my poor laptop running V.

IV was like Rockstar's entry into PC porting (I said porting, not developing), & like others said, their recent ports have been much better. So I would expect a 'much better than IV' port.

I really think GTA V will run alot better on the PC they have learned alot since GTA IV GTA V on the consoles really exhibits that. And they also pretty much got to redo the whole game again for next gen and the PC so its going to be the best GTA we have ever had.

On another note i don't think the required specs will be as ridiculous  as AC Unity either. Im not really sure what the deal with that game is but the specs required for Farcry 4 are alot less so i dont know. However im sure you will have to have a decent computer to run GTA V  optimally.

I also cant comment on how AC Unity runs as i have to play it on the PC.

Well fuck me; my PC is a gaming PC and is quite as a mouse whilst playing BF3 on Very High settings, but sounds like a Category 38804367109467 hurricane whilst playing IV. I just hope I can support V on it. My specs aren't even that bad either!

The fact that the game is so well optimized on Xbox 360 and PS3 (the graphics and the sheer size of the game were so advanced, yet the consoles could run it efficiently), and the fact that R* delayed the PC version a couple months, I have to say it will likely be more optimized than GTA IV.

Max Payne 3, the latest R* PC title, is also a very well optimized port.

Yeah, i'm playing BF3 and BF4 at Ultra here with 50/60FPS, even Watch_Dogs worked good here, but GTA 4 don't passed 40 FPS here... Actually when i'm driving in Algonquin hardly pass 30 FPS, staying in 24/28...

When your PC isn't strong enough to handle GTA 4 on minimum settings....

Oh...I thought that was Minecraft, but no. I think that might be worse...
