STOCKHOLM (Reuters) - Sweden released on Sunday a grainy photo of a mysterious vessel in Stockholm's archipelago, as the military hunted for a foreign submarine or divers in the country's biggest such mobilization since the Cold War.

Reportedly, the navy did not find anything submarine related. Of course, they may not be telling everything that happened. We've had Sub scares before, and it hasn't lead to much before, other than this one time: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soviet_submarine_S-363

 

I would not be surprised if it was the russians, but it could also be another nation. 

Russian. No doubt. Just a few months earlier they were conducting nuclear attack simulations on Sweden, and there's been several instances of Russian military aircraft flying in and out of Swedish airspace for no apparent reason. It would not surprise me whatsoever if there's a bunch of Russian submarines lurking on the bottom of the Swedish seabed. 

Even if there are subs down there, we can't do shit about it. I don't worry too much. 

 

Besides, only Stockholm is in the main danger zone :P

Stockholm Archipelago ain't the best place for submarine... Even russian :D 

I'd say it's Russians trying to sneak up on Australia to "attack" us, our Prime minister pissed the Russian president off xD

What? That makes no sense what so ever. Australia is roughly 13000 kilometers away from Sweden, why would they be snooping around that far out if they wanted to hit our mainland?

That's why i said it could be unrelated, i was never to good with geography.. to me it just seems strange that the prime minister pisses off the Russian President, planned an attack (with ships just outside of Australian waters) then some "mysterious" submarines are sighted.

 

But it's pretty slim that the submarines and the Russian vs Australia thing is connected.

The submarine sightings in Swedish waters are almost a month old now, so it's completely unrelated to situation between Putin and our PM.

Judging by my army experience that's a plan that would be taken as a proper and logical one XD
