Blacks are 13% Of The US Population but Make up 80% of the Crime

As for the title, I already said why it was worded poorly.

The title is stating a fact taken from a source, I don't see how it's worded poorly. As for your provocation, I won't answer, I do not see the purpose to try and debate with someone like you who needs to go aggressive as soon as he feels his opinion threatened instead of discussing calmly like civilized people.

Oh and my ass is fine, thanks for your concern.

  • Yeah, just like it's been proven that black people are better at basket ball, that they rap super good and eat watermelons all day. Or like it's been proven that Asian people are good at mathematics.

  • Race has almost nothing to do with it, it's social factors that influence that. Now I'm not American but spent almost a year in Baltimore studying law down at BU. My apartment was on Eutaw place, next

Well when you start attacking somebody's opinion it tends to escalate, very quickly.

Again, as nobody seems to ha e read where I stated that the title makes it sound like blacks are more prone to crime. Race plays a factor but is not the defining one.

Race has nothing to do with it, it's pure economics. Those who live in low income housing are there because they have low income sources therefore if they are accused of a crime guilty or not they don't stand a fair chance in the court system because they cannot afford a good quality attorney, and that means they do not have a qualified defence and are often forced into taking plea bargains due to fears of getting higher prison sentences regardless of guilt or innocence.

I am just joking. The term in title "blacks" is like racist. It can be said like "dark skin americans". lol :D

Just for the record, you're joking right?

yep

But calling someone black isn't racist. It's descriptive. That's like saying if I call Ellen a woman, it's sexist. In my opinion the term "African American" is as ignorant as you can get. What about all the white and middle eastern people in Africa? Also, if you don't live in Africa right this second, you are not African anymore. My heritage is both German and Italian, but I don't live in either Country, I live in the U.S. Therefore, I'm NOT a European American, I'm just a fucking American citizen. I wish more black people would wake up to this ignorance and hop on the knowledge train. I saw an interview in which Raven Symone corrected Oprah, saying "I'm not African American, I'm just American". I salute her.

While I do see your point, I disagree when you say that someone not living in Africa isn't an African-American, they're an American. I'm Black, so my culture and ancestors come from Africa. The problem with this, is that I'm technically not supposed to be here, living in the United States. Mankind screwed up the race system, by moving different cultures throughout the world with the use of force, to work as slaves and servants. I am not an African, but I am of African descent. My ethnicity is African, while my nationality and actual culture is American. My people aren't from America, we're from Africa. So I am an African-American, because I'm currently living as a proud United States citizen, but I'm of African ancestry and descent. This is where the term "African-American" comes from. Black is a worldwide race, while African-American refers to Blacks living in America, that are of African descent.

My opinion? just shut up about race & it will no longer be a problem.

The only problem with this, is that not all people are born and raised with the morals that we see as 'correct'. If I was raised to be racist for 15 years, It'd be pretty hard for me to accept that everyone is created equally. Just as you are raised to accept that everyone is equal, It'd be hard for you to accept that everyone is not equal, if that were the case.

So then you're saying that my friend who is from South Africa who is white is an African American? Absolutely not. Just as I am not a German/Italian/Native American (these are my roots), I'm simply an American. Separating yourself like that is exactly what causes racism in the first place. When people feel like they're not equals, they'll treat each other as such. I refuse to call you African if you do not live there, even if you had just changed citizenship yesterday, I'd no longer call you African. As far as race... If someone wants to describe my race I'd let them call me white. It's a description, nothing to bitch about. But calling me a cracker or honky will result in me beating that person senseless. Therefore, when I describe your race, I say black. But damn it we're all human in the same boat and this race baiting needs to stop. It's 2014 and I'm personally sick of it. I hear about "that's racist if you say that" when it clearly isn't or "You don't like Obama? Racist" all damn day. What has this world come to? Political correctness is Fascism, plain and simple and it's not going to work on me.

Question, when you say Ellen, do you mean Ellen degeneres?

Yeah that's who I mean. I didn't want to be cliche and say Oprah ha ha.

Exactly, I agree with you. The only difference in our opinions is that while I believe that we are all equal, I also believe that we all come from different ethnic backgrounds. Technically a White person from Africa, would be considered an Africa-American because he's of African descent, but now resides in America. Skin color ha nothing to do with ancestry specific to certain continents. Our ethnicity is African-American, while our race is Black. We are called Black, because our skin color is considered dark. We are called African-American because we're of African descent.

For those of you that are against racism and want it to end, I've found the solution to all are problems.

"If the black community would stop saying "Nigger" racism CAN be solved. The hypocracy of calling us "crackers" etc. And calling yourselves Niggers, but when a white person sais it, we are racist. Everyone who uses this word is guilty of racism no matter what your colour is.Everyone should stop saying Nigger, as it refers to times of slavery and racism. The black community who uses this word, you keep racism alive. The ball is on your court, you as a community should not accept people using this word, not from anyone."

Well I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree. But I do thank you for keeping it clean and having a proper debate with me. Have a nice day
