Hey guys so last week I started a topic in the death penalty and the debate seemed pretty civil. Now this issue right now is a highly debated topic in our world today, what is your opinion should it be abolished, should it be legal, is better for the mom, all these points taken into consideration.

I think that you can choose for yourself if you want abortion or not, its your life.

I think that it needs to be legal everywhere.

Personally, I don't really care if it's legal or not, it's ultimately up to the people doing it, some people say just give the kid up for adoption, but people that aren't ready to be parents think that abortion is an easy way out, it is, but if you give your kid up for adoption god knows what could happen in the system, living under several different types of rules, my brothers are 2 of those people that the system screwed up really bad.

 

Makes me shake my head when people protest about it when it has 0 effect on anyones lives but the people that are doing it.

Long story short, I think the choice is up to the mother, not the government.

I think its totally up to the mother, there are many valid reasons for abortion and the Government shouldn't intervene in a woman's personal choice.

I think it's funny how on a forum page over the internet, people are willing to stand up and defend their opinions. But yet the second they're asked in reality, they go with what the majority believe in. Very interesting.

 

As others have already stated several times, I believe that it's up to the mother to decide whether or not to get an abortion. Forcing a mother to keep her child, even in cases of rape and incest, is ludicrous. This especially comes into play when the United States is involved. How can we be the "Land of the free" if we still have laws that prohibit people from making their own decisions?

I could care a less if it's a forum page or in public, don't like what I believe then fuck ya, but I'm sure people are like that because heaven forbid someone has a different opinion about something, next thing you know you have 10 people ganging up on you because think their way is right, yep, people are fucking retarded.

 

I don't even know why people forget to use precautions and end up in situations like these. Babies are like speeches, easy to conceive, hard to deliver. But my take is- deliver it once you've conceived it. Because it was your fault that you didn't think it over in the first place, and now you have no right to kill something which isn't even born to defend itself and like I said, is a result of your negligence. Consider it a penalty. Heck you can throw him/her in an orphanage after delivering it. Who knows you could change your mind by the time he/she comes into this world?

I hate that show teen mom all that shows does is encourages teens to get pregnant, and getting pregnant as a teen is stupid. But anyways another reason I don't think abortion should be outlawed is a baby should not be brought into this unwanted.

I didn't say I was advocating abortion as the be-all-and-end-all of contraception. All i'm getting at here is that abortion should be given to expecting women as an option if they think the baby may have illness or some other life-threatening condition, which in the long term will prevent it suffering. As for the 'it's a life' side of the argument, kids die every day on this earth. If it's aborted in the early- to -mid stages of pregnancy (the foetus doesn't become concious until 20+ weeks in) it won't feel a thing. It isn't murder, it's a genuine chance to save a child suffering if it has harmful genetic conditions.

Well i guess we just have a diffrent opinions then. Even if a child might end up injured (which u never 100% know) it's still a form of life. I mean why not killing all the guys in wheelchairs then? If we wanna keep them from suffering? Right because they are humans with the right to live. Why are we making a diffrence there? Just because the foetus is not evolved to it's complete form dosen't mean it has no right to live. And don't gimme that stuff that the foetus dosen't feel anything. Thats not the point. It is still a form of life that ends up never having the chance to live because his/her mother choose it's not worth it.
