Ahh yes. The Air Force still has to chauffeur you around...  Haha

Lol yes, if they could keep their shit maintained. During jump week at Airborne School we had to spend several extra hours waiting for the crew to figure out what is wrong with their C-130. For some reason the doors kept breaking, we had to do many jumps with only one door which meant they had to go back for a couple extra passes over the DZ.

Lol, sounds about right. Aircrew is clueless about anything mechanical.

The german Transall is even older and the german maintenance crew is always able to fix it .

Probably you americans shouldn't outsource everything ^^ .

Our maintenance crew can fix it. Just our aircrew usually *won't*. If they can still fly relatively safely, then they're clueless. Lol

I spend most of my day with my head in a book - Yea, exciting right! Not so much...

Then the rest of my day is normally spent over a microscope, more interesting than reading textbooks, I suppose...

Then about once a week I get to stick my hands inside an animal, usually a sheep, and rip out it's insides.

But that's about my day and I play with chemicals which is fun...

cool an EMT. Do you work for a hospital or the FD

Well actually neither. AMR is a company itself. A lot of people have the Idea that (What they quote us as) "Ambulance Drivers" work for the hospital but we our own station just like the FD,PD and so on.

Hopefully that answered your question! Although every other EMS Company has their own way of working.

Per my contract I'm not allowed to take photos of the inside of my place of employment. (Yes I'm serious, strict policy)

same way with me. some parts of AST (Alabama) aren't allowed to take pics of themselves or vehicles. Only professional photographers are allowed to take pics of our vehicles.

Ok, so that isn't what I do on a daily basis (only about once a month or so). Electronic devices aren't allowed in the area I work so this is the closest thing I can show you that explains what I do.
