Ford all the Crown Vic Lovers....

Featured Replies

I feel sad that I'll never get to experience the brand new smell of CV.  I've loved it ever since I first saw it, kind of like love at first sight,  & i feel so sad :'(

If my post made you laugh (or giggle) in any way, smash that blue grey "Like this" button & like it

It's going to be a long time before the CVPI is completely faded out, die hard Crown Vic lovers won't let them die out, if anything, they will be restored & put back on the road for many years to come, you still see the old PPV Caprice on the road, the Crown Vic will still be the same, although they are not for Police use anymore, somewhere in Ontario they hold meets for Panther owners.

Luckily a few departments around my area in Conroe/Spring TX still use them.

Yeah, they're still used in a lot of departments, they just aren't manufactured anymore. Like NYPD still uses the older versions for Highway Patrol or regular patrols, but mainly the new taurus now

Considering all departments in the US used the vic, and then eventually auctioned the retired ones - They will be around for a long time as Slimory said. Its a nice car, great internals, extremely easy to replace parts, etc. Only down side is the bad mileage. But they go for 1,000 - 8,000 dollars, an incredible price.

The RCMP & HRP still use the Crown Vics, funny thing though, the RCMP in my area just got a new slicktop CVPI..
