I'll start off. GTA IV.

Not sure if you could call it a port per sé, but I remember Need For Speed: Rivals was terrible on PC until someone figured out that it's possible to disable the frame cap.

 

It still has a 3/10 rating by members on Metacritic.

What do you think is the worst PC ports.

What are we basing this off of? Gameplay? Performance? Graphics? Multiplayer? If we're going unspecified, I'll build a list since it's hard to pick just one:

-Grand Theft Auto IV / EFLC

-Deus Ex Invisible War

-Theif III: Deadly Shadows

-Gears of War

-Halo

-All James Bond games

-All EA Sports or 2K games

-Rainbow Six Vegas and Vegas 2

-All Call of Juarez games

-All Resident Evil games

-All Need For Speed games since 'NFS Underground'

-All Call of Duty games after 'World at War'

That's all the painful memories I can dig up right now. There's a ton more, but those are the ones I can think off of the top of my head. I've had first hand experience with all of the games I listed too.

Pretty much what urinal said, in my opinion battlefield 4, it needs some work, I have had many issues with the game. I have been playing all the older "Call of Duty" games lately and they were great! I hate the new ones.

You butchered my name, horribly. And Battlefield 4 isn't a port from a console, sorry to disappoint. DICE is still developing their games on PC first and then moving it over to consoles. They just did a bad job in general designing Battlefield 4. I've had almost no technical issues at all, it was more stable at launch than Battlefield 3, but game design issues like hit boxes, net code, etc. are what ruin it for me.

Hahaha, sorry about that! I also forgot to mention Saints Row 2, it is the worst port ever.

When I read the title of this thread I thought you meant ports as in like USB, ethernet, firewire, ect...

Saints Row 2, doesn't even work properly for me anymore. Call of Duty Black Ops, the last CoD I bought and regretted it a lot. PC launch was a TOTAL mess. Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Shit, no further explanation required. There's probably some more but I can't recall 'em all right now.

 

I never had major problems with GTA IV.

Basically just GTA:IV (MP side) & NFS:Rivals for me, those are the only games I ever had any problems with.

 

Also, unreal, why All RE games & All NFS games since Underground?

I don't find anything wrong with RE 6 & Revelations (a bit glitchy sometimes, but not that bad), & NFS MW & Hot Pursuit (2012 one) were ok.

Also, loved Tomb Raider Underworld much more than this latest one, what's wrong with Underworld?

 NFS:Rivals for me, those are the only games I ever had any problems with.

 

Oh Christ, I completely forgot about NFS Rivals. That thing was hideous.

 

None of you guys have clearly tried to play the London 2012 Olympics game on pc. The port was so bad that the controls were all still the xbox 360 controller, so you had to guess which keyboard/mouse button was mapped to what.

 

And even then the mappings made absolutely no fucking sense ever.

 

"Rotate the left thumbstick as shown to do _____" would become "rotate Z to do ________"........HOW THE F*** DO I ROTATE Z!?!?! *rage*

To add on that list, no one seriously mentioned Ride To Hell? I think that is the most atricious thing in video game history. I also have to say, Battlefield 4 was a real screw up. Ended up getting a refund not long after the release.

Oh man ride to hell was a bad game. Like, not many games make me want to decapitate my own head with the keyboard.

 

And Battlefield 4 has been a very very rushed game. It's a fantastic game when it works, and I love it. But consider how long they took to release Battlefield 3, there was months of hype about the game and then more months of hype about the new frostbite 2 engine.

 

Then they announced Battlefield 4 at e3 and BAM 2 weeks later it was out for release. I got that game for my birthday in January so I fortunately missed all of the initial bugs and patch fixes, but even now it is still pretty bad.

The two main bugs I notice, are the seriously fucked up killcams....and for me, the game launches in a mini window in the top left corner of my monitor. I have to go into video settings every time and switch to windowed mode and then back to borderless just to get it to fit my monitor again.

Yeah, basically. I probably would've enjoyed Battlefield 4 but seeing as how broken it was, I figured I'm better off going back to Bad Company 2. Quite nothing like the Vietnam DLC for it. Here's hoping Ubisoft won't mess up Watch Dogs for PC. Looks promising so far!

Yeah I know what you mean, and yes BC2 was the best game they made IMO.

 

I am super hyped for watchdogs, I was mildly hyped for BF4 because it looked too much like 3 with more explosions basically. But watchdgos has pulled me in big time. Really hope they don't mess it up.

Let us hope for the best.

 

Also on topic: Driv3r. They really did a lazy job with the PC version. Essentially broke parts of the game and didn't even bother to fix a lot of the glitches adressed.
