What do you do Whilst no getting no calls?

 

I Usually sit by the tolls and wait for speeders or anyone that has been involved in Hit and runs etc.

 

What do you guys do whilst " Off Duty " ?

I just drive around, looking for mischief, or park up and use the Steam overlay to patrol the Support section on LCPDFR.

Seems like you have your hands pretty tied up when your off duty aswell :P

I pull people over, I sometimes kidnap certain people, take em to secluded area and beat em up, sometimes I get "bribed" by fining over 1000$ for their lives. I do that by using the PoliceHelper mod along with LCPD, I sometimes try to create a scenario by shooting in a gang infested area, then pretend I never did that and have the gangsters start shooting, calling backup and so on. The list goes on xD You can do a lot of "non policing" stuff to cause certain things to hpapen then you can take it from there, depends how you wanna roleplay it.

When I'm not getting calls I tend to set a route in my mind and patrol, just to make sure everything is in check. In particular though I tend to patrol the highways because for some reason for me the AI driving has been modified. (not sure if I have an old handling file I changed or if it is default anymore)

This change in AI causes some civilians to cause accidents near the slip lanes onto the highway, I've had to hold traffic multiple times due to fatalities caused by this.

 

It's frustrating being in traffic and losing your rear lights, but equally satisfying when a crash does occur.

 

Sometimes though if I'm bored of driving circles I'll find a clear place to pull to the side of the highways and flick the ANPR on and just let traffic flow by.

I walk when I'm not being called. Like, say, if i'm next to a park or something I'll get out and do a walkabout looking for no-goods. I hardly ever get chances to do things like that though, ever since I got 1.0 its been hectic. I'm doing a traffic stop and spot a reckless driver, I put a roadblock out but next thing you know there's a shootout going on at the other side of town. On my way there the shootout ends. I then see a speeder and perform a traffic stop. Same vicious cycle all over again. I really don't get much off time.

Haha , so when your off duty , you tend to play the bad guy . a.k.a Criminal unless they bribe you?

I Get what you mean , on the motorway and someone hits the back of you and takes your lights out ... They dead! :p

Sounds like you have your hands full aswell ! Need to make time to play the bad cop aswell! Maybe ditch the call and go kidnapp someone ! :D

I usually patrol a dangerous neighborhood, Bohan or Hove Beach at night, watch for traffic offenders. In those areas a regular traffic stop leads to massive shoot-outs. Also I harass homeless people, discriminate aliens and search people for excessive cellphone usage near police officer... 

Not sure if I understand what you mean with off duty, as with pressing alt p again to disable LCPD? I never do that unless I wanna play vanilla. I just play as the cop but I'm a corrupt cop lol, I do as I please :D I am the sheriff of liberty city :P

The LCPD is always the bad cop, thats what Rockstar had always intended it to be, so when I'm on duty I try and roleplay that and have as much fun as I would off duty. When I'm playing as NOOSE I use a gatling gun mod I downloaded, when I'm a traffic cop I smash through traffic in an SUV, and boy do they fly. I also get Annihilators to chase people for doing minor crimes, such as being a public nuisance, or get NOOSE teams on them. Its a helluva lot of fun watching armoured men equipped with AR-15s chase homeless people :D

I patrol the parks or the back alleys.

If I don't see anything suspicious, I go and get some speeders(or other wrong doing) or have a burger at burgershot :P.

I drive about the whole map in a traffic car looking out on the roads with ANPR activated. Sometimes, I park up either in a side street or on the hard shoulder of the motorways and just wait for traffic offences. 

I usually do some street patrol. I investigate suspicious persons, I´m looking for jaywalkers etc. I love to do these kind of things. Just checking 

ID´s , frisking people etc. :D

Seems like you all keep yourself entertained when off duty ... Might have to try some of these ideas . Seems like a lot of fun!

What I have been doing lately, is I have been in China Town and towing cars on the side streets. I make it so that parking on the little side streets are illegal and I tow there car.
