  • You know, these have been a tough couple of days for us, especially myself and LMS.  It is just incredible how something that works so well for yourself, and for all the testers, can work so horribly

  • I hear ya, it's frustrating for sure.  Even if that were the case for me, which it was until I tweak some things to get it to work properly, I wouldn't come onto this site to bitch about how I'm givin

I would recommend you just quote someone with a similar issue.

HI my police computer doesn't work with the Pstockade for some reason

When I request a roadblock with the quick menu I get a "fatal error" after a minute. But when there's a "natural"/randomly created roadblock by LCPDFR it doesn't crash, most times.

How can this be fixed?

Hi check this thread here this might help you a bit. I found that it is modded cars that spawn at the roadblocks crashing a fatal crash
. Try using unmodded cars or don't use roadblocks.

I had no problems with the installation of LCPD:FR 1.0, I automatically installed it. But now, the game crashes before I even get ingame, everytime. :( Any advice?

Can i add, that when you choose to arrest someone when there is a shootout with several suspects. The game crashes if you have one or more persons handcuffed when the mission completes :) I guess you have to shoot all ?

I've also had something similar, where I had arrested certain ped involved in a shootout, and took them to the station (blue marker), and found that the game had found itself stuck on the "Loading Screen" for quite a few minutes, making me have to force quite GTAIV. I've also had it happen with a drunk driving suspect who I think used the same ped model.

I've just totaly given up on 1.0 and gone back to 0.95 rc2. It's way more stable. I suggest this to all players.

Mostly every lcpdfr Clan isn't even using LCPDFR anymore. I'm sticking with 0.95 until the next release.

WE NEED 1.1!!

Dude get a life!  These guys work on the mod for free in their free time.  There are going to be issues with any new release especially one running on completely new code.  Be patient and give them time to tweak things before you freak out and jump back to .95....

Man, some people!  Complain about something that is giving to them for free, that took a lot of time effort and probably a little stress to boot.  Not to mention it's the greatest mod ever conceived and executed.

Ungrateful, pre-pubescent turds if you ask me.  Just like you see at gtaforums, bitching and moaning like little kids.

I have already jumped back to 0.95.... It shouldn't have been released with so many glitches. It's called beta testing.

I can understand that. When 0.95 first came out, quite a few folks, myself included found it highly unstable compared to 0.91, and had to stick to 0.91 until a fix came out. Of course, the wait wasn't that long, maybe week or two if I'm not mistaken. For a small team like LCPD:FR, you have to applaud how quick they can get things fixed up there.

I'm finding my 1.0 experience more prone to crashing than 0.95RC2, but I also find it getting more stable as time goes on. I'm also finding myself immersed with 1.0 than 0.95RC2 (getting the same 2 calls was getting old). Hopefully when the patch comes out, you might find yourself feeling about 0.95RC2 as many feel about 0.91. Besides, this is the first time that the mod is tested on more than the small handful of computers used by the Dev and testing team, so some big bugs are bound to show up (and you also see it happening with some big budget releases too, as well as other well regarded games when they came out (the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series is that comes to mind).

Just don't play it then, and revert back to .95 without all the bitching and moaning.  If for nothing else but out of respect for the developers themselves.

It's called "we don't have every computer configuration and operating system ever made." Just because it works well on our computers, which it did, doesn't mean it works well on every one else's, and there is no way for us to find out until some one with a configuration that causes issues tries it out.

Sticks and stones may break bones, but 5.56 fragments on impact.

To be honest i go through the same when releasing new patches for programs and other things *hides*, but i'm only one person that understands what you need to go through with the development of the "MOD" frankly more of a game because of the way it turns around, But the simple option is upgrade your system or OS, or the harder option "Don't complain and just keep it to yourself". Correct?

Not necessarily, because I'm fairly certain no one that is a tester is using a PC under a $1000. But it should be understandable with how diverse computers are, expecting an item that works 100% flawlessly on everything isn't reasonable.

Its called realizing that most AAA games that are released now have glitches and bugs.  This is a FREE mod produced on a game that HATES modding.  Just the fact that they've been able to produce something that works period is a feat to be admired.  Learn some patience and quit b*tching about something that is free and done out of geniune interest.  They will fix the issues just like they did with previous versions.

Mine's not under $1000, but it is a laptop, and I have run into issues caused by an underpowered system (e.g. NOOSE backup disappeared as soon as I turned around). However, that was largely fixed by release. Or maybe I'm remembering wrong, and it was an issue on my old desktop but not my laptop. One of the two.

Also, everyone: we did test. The early revisions had a whole lot of bugs. All the issues people report on the final release generally represent just a handful of different bugs. The revisions had over 150 bugs that were reported by testers and fixed before release. Keep in mind that there are under 40 members of the testing team, and some of them are inactive by now. The mod was tested by around 20 people. We now have over 15,000 downloads of it. It's not surprising that there'd be a few things we missed.

I guess pro developers never, ever have that issue. That's why the version of IV that the mod needs is patch 7.
