YOUR OPINIONS ON "GTA IV PC SCAM..."

Featured Replies

I heard thousands of PC users got massive scam and a huge spyware today because the PC gamers found a GTA V PC torrent that was 18GB full of spyware from BitTorrent. Then when they try to install it, they got a huge bug that may wipeout their own PC. I wasn't one of them luckily. XD (My opinion is, they should have known it is a scam because GTA V didn't come out for PC yet but they are still downloading it for no apperent reason. It just makes me want to laugh...) And I'm just wondering about your opinions so post them here if you want to...

I'm confused, was it GTA IV or V? You wrote both.

If it was GTA IV, shame on them since it's pretty cheap these days.

If it was GTA V, this emoticon summarize my feelings:  :wallbash:

They deserved it.. Serves them right for illegally downloading it. They should just go out and buy the game like everybody else, They're no different from the rest of us.

Seriously?

People should just stop. While it may have been easier about 10 years ago, I think it doesn't "add up" nowadays for the average consumer. We can clearly see where it can end.

Besides, there are usually more advanced countermeasures in place now to prevent illegal copies. Some don't work right, some degrade and you can hardly expect any working or serious mod / customer support, can you? Or in this case, you get ...  the whole deal. But I guess people don't see that and primarily want to save themselves a few bucks. That's the outcome then though, however.

It's this or that.

1,000 + PC hackers got there ass kicked. is what i think

"PC Hackers?" If they were "hackers" I doubt this would happen to them... They were just being stupid.

To be fair, there were working torrents of GTA V for the PS3 and Xbox 360 roughly a week before the game was released.

May be so, but people KNEW GTAV wasn't out for PC, can people really be THAT thick?

As much as I'd like to think that, apparently some people really ARE that thick.

Most definitely the younger crowd thinking they can get V on PC before everyone else, thinking they're being smart, KARMA lol

Game developers should let people pirate their games but it should be torrents they've created (see here: http://www.greenheartgames.com/2013/04/29/what-happens-when-pirates-play-a-game-development-simulator-and-then-go-bankrupt-because-of-piracy/)
