DragonvilleHD got a reaction from ineseri in ELS V8 and police vehicles problem on steamSorry. I don't pay attention to sections. I hope I don't make that mistake again

DragonvilleHD reacted to ineseri in Reinstalling GTA IV issue...Try to clean it, yeah. If that doesn't work, you'll have to get a new disc or buy it on Steam.

DragonvilleHD reacted to Illusionyary in GTA IV won't start using patch 1.0.4.0 + d3d9.dll error HELP!Delete dsound and install xlive otherwise the game will force you to update to patch 7 as soon as you get in-game. As for the d3d9.dll error, try using another one.

DragonvilleHD reacted to NicolaiB in Mirillis Action! Issue...I use Action! for IV. IV itself shouldn't be the problem, ENB's are the problem. I did manage to fix it though.
I can't record using "game mode" so I use full desktop recording or active desktop region.
I'm not sure that'll fix the problem, you try and run IV in windowed mode if it still crashes. You can do it by adding -windowed to your commandline.txt or setting it as a launch option on the shortcut in Steam or on a LaunchIV.exe shortcut on your desktop.
You also need to use the stable (1.16.0.3) build, the beta (1.17.0.x) build didn't work for IV at all when I tested it.
Action! is, in my option, the best recording software, it's superior to FRAPS. Action! eats less performance, the recorded videos are smaller than FRAPS. Action! excels with its audio recording, recording my voice to a separate audio track means that I don't have to worry about setting my game audio too high when I record.

DragonvilleHD reacted to LukeD in Mirillis Action! Issue...I would guess at saying your pc can't handle running both GTA IV and the recording software.
Action! is a high performance piece of software, which means it will be eating up your pc's resources (system memory most likely).
I would recommend using another game recorder and see if that helps as you clearly can't run Action! and GTA IV :)
Here are a few I know of.
Fraps
HyperCam
CamStudio
Razer Screencast (part of their game boost program)
XFire has built in recorder
Steam I think can. (Not sure though)
Hope this helps :)

DragonvilleHD reacted to JewishBanana in LCPDFR cars + YouTubeI use Paint.net quite a bit, it get's the job done well. Though, Photoshop is easier to work with, Paint.net is free after all. Here it is to download. It should be in the top right corner, where it says "Free Download Now".

DragonvilleHD reacted to ineseri in Help me with lag while recording with "Mirillis Action!" + Fatal Error: RESC10You are getting the RESC10 error because of your car mods, try and remove them and insert the vanilla cars. It should work after that, one of them is most likely faulty.
You can also try creating a file called "commandline.txt" in your main GTA IV directory and insert the following lines:
-percentvidmem 100 -nomemrestrict If that still does not work, insert these lines:
-renderquality 0 -shadowdensity 0 -texturequality 0 -viewdistance 0 -detailquality 0 -novblank -norestrictions -width 320 -height 240 -safemode -windowed -percentvidmem 100 -minspecaudio -novsync -renderquality 0 -frameLimit 0 -nomemrestrict -
DragonvilleHD reacted to Break in [How-To] Listen to NYPD radio in game.Since many people hate the fact that there is no police-scanner action in game, I'm gonna teach you how to have soem sweet radio talk in the background, when you're on patrol.
We will listen to the NYPD radio over internet, this is legal.
Now, GTA IV doesn't accept M3U files anymore, so we will have to have a program running in the background. Use what-ever program you'd like to use, for example Windows Media Player or iTunes. For this tutorial though, and for my own game, I'm going to use VLC. You can get it from here.
First Step:
Download VLC or any media player of your choice. I'm going with VLC, from here.
Second Step:
Open your media player, in this case VLC and go to "Media > Open Networkstream..." (or similar on other media players)
What you want to do now is enter the following address into the field...
http://relay.radioreference.com:80/931287466
...and hit Play.
Now you will have a police scanner running in vlc. If you don't hear anything, don't worry, they don't always talk; just wait a bit.
Third Step:
Open GTA IV and play. You might wanna adjust the volume of your media player so it isn't too loud ingame.
Have fun!

DragonvilleHD reacted to trewq34 in YOUR OPINIONS ON "GTA IV PC SCAM..."To be fair, there were working torrents of GTA V for the PS3 and Xbox 360 roughly a week before the game was released.
