I agree with everyone here. If R* didn't pay attention to us about porting V over to PC, why will they pay attention to this? Like a user mentioned previously for this petition to actually work, they would probably have to send it off to R* in a professional manner, or even tell R* what their problem is. This is probably some prankster just having a bit of fun, after all, his name is one of the names of the main characters in GTA V - I knew that name was all too familiar! But anyway, all us PC gamers have to do is hope for the best and ignore this stupid kid. I'll look into this case (haha, I'll refer to it as a case - after all, I am a law enforcement enthusiast and my dad is a lawyer) and if I get enough responses asking me to, I'll get the site to take this petition down and/or report it to Rockstar. What do you guys think about that? We'll have our way with this stupid prankster.

He claims that PC players are a bunch of pirates, and YET xbox version of GTA V is leaked to the torrent sites EVEN BEFORE the release date.

On a serious note, Rockstar, like any other business doesn't care what any of you think. Their decisions are based on what will provide their business with the most profit. They release a PC version for every single GTA that's been released so far because it has been profitable to do so. They will most likely do the same with GTA V.

 

Also, there's some indication from a rip of the XBOX 360 edition that a PS4 edition and PC edition are planned:

In my opinion, it's likely a PC edition will be made (and released) along with ports for the next-generation platforms (PS4, Xbox One). Those platforms are based on PC architecture anyway, so it would make sense from a business perspective to also make a PC edition.

Edit: Hell, there's even MAC OS version of San Andreas and Vice City.

Jay: They certainly seem to be designing for a PC version, but I could see them not finishing it if it isn't profitable to do so. Desining for the possibility of PC doesn't mean you actually make it for PC.

Rockstar knows that diehard GTA fans will buy it for console first, then buy it later for PC for modding. Double the profit for them as opposed to announcing a PC version then losing out on all additional console sales.

I can agree that it's a little 'greedy' maybe, but hey, it works. Rockstar is like any other comapny in that aspect. They want to make money. So far, their strategy is working.

That is correct....I'm going to pickup a PS3 console today for GTAV, then I will pickup the PC version when it comes out.  This is the business model, and it works.

seems like a lot of the work has been cut out for you guys already with the random events that happen and the police station that you can enter...less work for you guys its going to be a hell of an experience only pc gamers can enjoy over the console and the new lighting set up rockstar provided all there is to do is create different patterns and mute the siren....I wonder how the police computer will work since theres no computer in game?

I think they are jealous because:

• They cannot afford a gaming PC.

• They are jealous of the mods.

I will just wait it out and see if its released :) and I don't think Rockstar will give a crap about the petition :)
