The 'modders' you're defending don't upgrade theirs like you did, dude.

I just don't see a problem with people making the cars they want to. If they don't want to learn how to model or convert and simply try to recreate their home department's CVPI with Liberty, rambar and grilllights, why don't just let them? Is it wrong to let people choose their cars from a larger variety?

No, but "sharing" them is, which is useless judging by the amount of downloads they get. Most people will use your LAPD packs rather than made by Mr.X

No one if forcing you at gunpoint to download that car. And as CJ24 said, if you don't like it, find someone who will make something that meets your standards, do it yourself, or forget about it.

Like I said, nobody is forcing them at gunpoint to keep releasing, I don't know why they just keep doing it. Yes, I don't like it. And I already have mods which I like, so I don't need to ask somebody for them. However, arguing with you isn't going to establish anything so I'd rather step back in shadows than replying to your prospective posts.

I would like to see variety. But the thing is, there are only older chargers and CVPIs that have been released unlocked. Thanks to Dhruv ( I hope I spelled his name right) for releasing a 2011 Dodge Charger unlocked. Still when people create there own model out of that car, they have to modify it.  I hope someone will convert and release newer Fords and Caprices (Likely Not)  I like whats available right now because, you may be trying to "role-play" a department, and someone might release something that is like 90-95% close. Plus, many departments are still using the CVPI (At least in Albuquerque) Where I live we are switching to the Dodge Charger, but we still have 900+ Crown Vics in our fleet.

I believe the original point in releasing unlocked models was to: learn the inner workings of how to set up a vehicle and progressively learn how to create your own meshes. This has backfired and caused people to be lazy and get praise for minimal work and lead to the creation of ELS mappers.

In reference to the OP, there are other websites that have more variety of models. With respect to lcpdfr, I can't advertise them,

No, they are choosing to release the models for your benefit. Whether you want to use them or not is up to you. But since you already have mods that you like, why do you care so much about people that are beginning to mod by placing parts? Tim98 only modded vehicles by placing parts and some crudely done original modeling, but now he's vastly improved and is one of my favorites modders. Why are you so against people taking their first baby steps?

Tim98 is one of the very few who learnt on their own. The guys who're taking their "baby seps" are mostly spoon-fed and its debatable whether their skills will evolve.

Create something better then. But we all know you won't, because you spend your time criticizing others.

I wanna see Luca and RTZVI release some models, but as c13 said, they wont. Just a bunch of shit talkers.

That wasn't such a nice thing to say. OP simply asked if we agreed if their should be a greater variety of models in the community, and I (along with others) politely gave our opinions. In no way did I bash anyone, but yet you make yourself look like a hypocrite for calling me a shit-talker when that is exactly what you're doing right now.

Btw, I am looking forward to the opportunity to release some of my old models, but first I would need to save money for a new hard drive. If you really want to see my models why not buy it for me? http://www.ebay.com/bhp/dell-xps-m1530-hard-drive-caddy

I never said i wasnt a shit talker. I know i was talking shit about you two. Politely? Yea, look at the way you worded that post. Nothing polite about it. And no, im not buying you a new Hard drive, if you have them right now, nothing is effecting you from uploading it. Good Day.

The whole point of me buying a new hard drive is because my old one is broken...and therefore won't boot...I'm using a Mac atm and you can't mod on a Mac

AndrewL129, if this is how it is then from today onwards, you're restricted to take part in any discussions criticizing law enforcement/politics/international govts. or anything else unless you jump right into it and show the world doing it better than them. I doubt teens like you who get pumped about Obama administration "not doing it right" can do it any better when/if given the chance.

What an interesting comparison, considering most of us separate our virtual lives from real life. All of those discussions you listed affect us in real life, while people putting little effort into mods is something that doesn't matter in the long run and something that you can avoid (You know the download button? There's an idea called "don't click it if you don't like it).

i like the models we have and i think the modeler's are doing there best job's at creating them.I love the cvpi and i will never get tired of it.it's my favorite car.I think a lot of molder's would like it more if people just appreciated what they made instead of complaing about stuff that's too similar to other models.I myself have never said this but thank you to all the people who model and texture because you guys are very talented and i i think you guys always do a great job on making people happy with your great work.

This is actually a very valid point

It is getting really annoying seeing every single thread being turned into your little mod argument.

Seriously dude we get it you do not like how the modding community is going but do you need to plague this forum with your criticisms on every thread?

You are totally entitled to your opinion but to be honest, reading your posts on every thread is starting to get annoying and ruin the lcpdfr experience.

People come on here to have fun, not deal with people starting debates over every mod related thread.

Your opinion is your opinion but either take it to PM or keep it on one thread because seeing it in multiple threads, turning threads into all out arguments over and over again is getting sooooo tiring. And as c13 said, you keep saying no one is forcing us modders to upload our millionth rendition of the CVPI. But you know, no one is forcing you to come on here. And no one is forcing you to check the downloads section.

So stop plaguing the forums and either deal with it or leave. There are plenty of people around that are willing to give criticism and actually try and help. There is no need for someone like you to be here anymore since you have made it clear that all you care about is running your mouth until modders stop uploading.

you to come here and take part in this discussion.

Man, I too come here for fun but every other day I just see CVPIs being uploaded. That was the point of the whole thread- of having different models, remember?

I too am around for a long time and know you and your history as a modder (its just that I just registered as of late). You were taught in supervision of Tim98 and 00Stevo and have been gluing parts ever since. Never saw you scratch-making or converting anything, I'm not forcing you to either. But the way you directed that steam spouting from your rear towards me, it had to be said. Period.
