I'm not at home until thuesday. However, i've noted all your bugs and reports. You have to know that I'm working on rewriting all the code so it will be much more stable. This will be the objective of the second release. After that, I'll work on adding new callouts. Please, be patient. It's not as easy. Thank you in advance :)

I like the script, however, you should tweak it a little.  Instead of terrorist call, you should make it a APB alert (All Point Bulletin), looking for a certain suspect in a certain type and color car.  There should be no GPS tracking and only vague, if any, indication of where the car/suspect is located.  While on patrol, you'll keep a sharp eye out, but not necessarily chasing the vehicle until it's spotted.

 

The call-out text (or APB) would look something like: "Suspect last spotted in Northwood, a green Huntley with one white male.  Proceed with caution, subject is armed."  Not much else would need to be changed script wise, just get rid of the GPS location and change up the call-out text.  

 

Pretty cool script though.

It sounds good on paper. However as we all know GTA IV has a habit of changing characters even if you're right behind them. One second you're stopping an older white lady and the next it's a biker. I like the idea of a general location and car however color and description of the suspect would make it unstable and most likely impossible to create. 

 

On a side note, to the creator. Good job, just don't let people pressure you into releasing a completely unstable script. Perfect it before adding. (I know that's what you're doing however I've seen a few people release terrible mods because people wanted them right then and there. :)

I do love how you've managed to sync up the dispatcher's dialog with each callout. :D

Looks really cool. I can tell you put in a lot of work. Are terrorist calls the only calls there are? Also, if you're trying to be realistic, terrorist calls almost never happen. If there's a rarity setting, or if you can make one, you should make that terrorist call have a 0.1% chance of happening. I'm not trying to be mean, just some criticism. I will be downloading the script.

I've made a new version of the mod... It's still in approbation state but should be available in few hours...

 

It's just to correct some bugs and to add a parameter requested by a member of the community :)

 

By the way, i've added a new button to reload the config... So you can change your parameters in the INI file while playing then reload it to make the changes effective :)

Firstly congratulations on your work and to encourage you to continue with it.
I wanted to make a suggestion and you could specify how come the SWAT vehicle to the call of the bomb since in my case "pstockade" (prisoner transport truck) is replaced by the police motorcycle, but yet my "nstockade" (SWAT truck) is a great custom version which I like to use to bomb calls.

Love the tweaks to the script, very nice work.  Love how the audio matches the suspects actions, very nice touch!

 

I did get a crash with the bomb threat scenario.  I analyzed the bomb OK, but when waiting for the bomb squad, the game crashed.  Below is the error:

If you have errors with the bomb call out make shure in your els v7 settings that they are turned to off for the pstockade and the nstockade. Hope this fixs yours to.

To answer to anybody who have the error, yes. the only way to deal with this error is to have the native pstockade (nstockade is not involved).

The problem is that when you use ELS vehicles, they are deleted after a certain radius away from you. So if the pstockade is trying to spawn out of the range of this radius, it is automatically deleted and your mission can't continue normally.

 

By the way, there is a parameter in the ini of ELSv7 which lets you increase this radius. Els_Range_Ai = 150 

Try to increase it and see if it solves the problem !

Now, about the future calls, i can't be accurate as i prefer working on what i've done to increase the gameplay experience. So yes, there will be more callouts but i can't say when and what it will be. Sorry.

i load the files up in the ballad of gay tony and always error in script then i type reloadscripts then it says press f3 but at the top it says error in script

I was able to use the bearcat for the pstockade, i just had to turn els off in the .ini

You don't have to turn it off, just raise the range in ELS.ini.

any reason why when enabling the callout availablity the default lcpdfr callouts never seem to happen?
