  1. I'd assume then that when the settings file is manipulated it just overloads gta. (To many scripts firing off at once). I think that has to do with a lot of the crashes though. Accepting calls, arresting, transporting, etc. At some point more than one thing is being triggered and it just overloads it. Thanks for updating though. Hopefully the devs notice the pattern as well.
  2. The caps lock key will open the quick wheel. I use ELS so I don't know about the siren in lcpdfr.
  3. Let us know if it makes a difference. I'm trying to see if there's a pattern. (Most of the errors are only looked at as what the logs give, however I'm seeing a lot of these issues are just a tad bit deeper than that. Hope it works though!!! :)
  4. Do you have gta4 AND gta4 EFLC? If they're installed they're registered as completely separate games. I'm slightly confused about the first three sentences, it sounds like you're asking how do you eliminate EFLC from the gta4 EFLC disk, which you can't. When you uninstall though, make sure to go into the directory and make sure there's absolutely no gta files remaining. On a side note, I know the developers are working hard on making a fix, so you may have to wait. If I think of anything else I'll let you know. I know your specific issue isn't the only one, it's just this issue seems to be caused and fixed in a variety of ways.
  5. I haven't seen an AI pull anyone over yet. However I've seen one in the middle of a traffic stop (searching the trunk) however it seems to be a random spawn that's always in the same place.
  6. Since you prefer online, you would use dsound.dll - xlive.dll is to eliminate the online connection. I know that previous lcpdfr releases were stable online, however I haven't personally attempted to use it on 1.0. I'd think that to an extent it would work well, but with the join pursuit scripts that are running, it seems like there could be some level of conflict. Try playing single player a bit and see if there's a difference in crashes. Also did the above work?
  7. I've had similar issues since I downloaded 1.0 but I've managed to work things out and now I can get a solid 30+ minutes in before I start crashing. One question. (I don't know how relevant this is however it made a MASSIVE difference for me.) Are you using GTAiv or EFLC? If you're using EFLC try switching to just plain gtaiv and installing it there. I'm also assuming that you're running as administrator when you load up the game, since you have looked around on your own, I'm sure you've read that about a million times. Also something that helps me out a little bit is opening task manager and closing all programs that aren't being used. It doesn't make a huge difference but it does seem to help. But like I said, if you can try a game switch. (gtaiv to gtaiv eflc and the other way around). This isn't the most technical response however it's what finally got mine running. (Been trying since release and it's the only thing I've found.) Just found one more thing that seems to be a trigger. Use the default LCPDFR settings file if you're not already doing so. Don't alter it! Whenever I mess with the call out times and multipliers it seems to cause a lot of LCPDFR related crashes.) Hope it helps!
  8. I think it's just a compatibility issue. You SHOULD be launching from the folder. (Right click launch gta icon and run as administrator.) I'm not 100% sure as to why that improves stability, but it does and you'll see people talking about that when people are having issues launching the game. Secondly, if you're wanting to take screenshots/video you can always download another program, such as fraps. There's plenty of free and paid programs that work well.
  9. Are you running a lot of mods on top of lcpdfr? If so, try playing without those mods and see if it gets any better. Also if you're using modded vehicles it can be crashing the game out. GTAiv already uses a large amount of resources, so adding more scripts, vehicles, and peds in causes it to crash.
  10. It seems useless to keep this going. The longer everyone keeps replying, the longer it stays relevant. If you don't see a point in the post, don't feed into it. If mods feel it's pointless then they'll take care of it.
  11. Already have it installed. :p I think I'll probably wait for an update and see if it somehow fixes it. I'm absolutely clueless as to what it can be because it's not producing any errors anywhere. (That I know of.)
  12. Yeah, I'll do that here shortly. The crashes are typically just "GTA has stopped working." However on very rare occasions I get the unrecoverables. (Edit) I attached the files here. Arrested a civilian and after about 10 seconds it crashed saying gta has stopped responding.
  13. I've spent the last few hours working out the loader issues and trying to figure out why no scripts were running. I got it all figured out and I'm not facing a new problem, one that I can't quite figure out myself. Running WITH and WITHOUT other mods my game crashes. It typically crashes when making an arrest and trying to trasnport. It also seems to crash when accepting a call. (IF the call gets disregarded it's fine, the second the call is accepted and is about to route me it crashes GTAIV.) I'm running all of the updates necessary, it crashes with and without other mods, and it seems to be a constant thing. It's not really a "I played for this long and it crashed" It just crashes when the things above happen.
  14. Here's why I don't like religion being brought into MY life, why I don't like people putting their beliefs where they don't belong. I wanted to believe in god, I wanted to enjoy these "gifts" everyone would talk about. Then I learned that people believe something so tainted by mankind. "LOVE EVERYONE!" Except these people those people and oh yeah, don't forget them. If I was made in gods image, he would honestly have to be a little bit gay. Well that's the logical thinking but unfortunately people are so blinded by an outdated book of stories. Most of which can be interpreted a million and one ways. I don't believe that god said let there be light and all of that jazz. Science has proof and is willing to continue to back it. If you're not an extremist I suggest you study and read up on a few things. Check out evolution, that's a pretty cool one! You didn't actually come back with anything groundbreaking when it came to number 3. Like I said, exact names and dates and then I'll believe it. If you're willing to say that gays shouldn't be able to marry in the name of god then you ARE in fact judging. Whether you can see it or not. I'm sure quite a few could tell you the same. Say I marry in a church under the name of god, wouldn't it be between ME and GOD. Wouldn't I have to find out later on whether or not it was okay? Is me getting married to another man going to crumble your beliefs? Also, complete avoidance and some rambling on number 5 and yes gays are thrown into your mix of sins. You've also changed your thought son sin a few times now. Just a heads up. I would like to have faith, however I won't follow someone who doesn't love me 100%. I wouldn't follow someone who would condemn a soul for something like sexuality. Not once did I say you're an extremist or a 'normal' christian. Also, your post is semi offensive, at least to me. Because once again I'm being told that because of who I love I'm a sinner and also this is sorta a bad time for a gay joke... But on a side note I'd like to attempt to end this. Me and you are on completely different spectrum's when it comes to beliefs and I know from experience that neither of us are going to budge on our beliefs. I wouldn't want either of us to leave with a bad taste in our mouth. I do respect you for having faith and believing in God, however equality is something I'm very passionate about and I will fight for it. One way or the other, this isn't the way to fight for it. Just remember that your words can be harmful and with LGBT youth already feeling attacked, it's not good to add to the problem. We loose to many good kids to suicide as it is. As a final thought to @newyorkswat, I've studied the bible and I've practiced many religions. Perhaps you could take a step in someone else's shoes and expand your mind because "life without knowledge is death in disguise". Here's my interwebz handshake *shake* Thanks for actually reading what I've had to say. :)
  15. 1 more contradiction. This ones quite common though. "I have nothing against gays or them getting married just as long its not push under god" You can't say you have NOTHING against gays and then go on to say they shouldn't be equal to you.
  16. You do realize you've contradicted yourself multiple times throughout this post, right? "The Bible is a book about how to live life" I've never met anyone who truly lives by it. "I feel has all the answers you can think of." So why don't you have an answer to whether or not it was changed. "The bibles have predict evens that no other bibles can!" Incorrect my friend. Not only that but no prediction has been made in the bible. Unless it has EXACT dates and names, it was not a prediction, just a coincidence "It's not our jobs to judge" You do realize you're statement on gay marriage is judging, correct? "Now look crazy storms, earthquakes, animals dieing out, more sick crimes" That sounds like the cycle the earth goes through numerous times, animals are dying out because of humanity and more sick crimes? There was a time when chopping someones head off was a public event. So many murders and what not have been in the name of god. "this world is going to trash and its not getting better!" Well clearly, but I can assure you, legalizing gay marriage isn't going to speed up the process. "remember again God is love and have mercy on us" If he is love why are so many people hateful in the name of religion? It's not very godlike of you. "I hope this answers it" It's literally answered nothing. I'm sure I could dig farther in and continue to list parts of your post that are completely irrelevant but I don't care THAT much.
  17. Slavery must be fine and dandy then. :) And to "The state can't force them to be married under god!" part. WHAT ABOUT PEOPLE WHO AREN'T RELIGIOUS AND ARE MARRIED?! Then to pretty much class homosexuality with murder? Are you serious? The thing that bothers me about the bible is that people realized that the first one was a bit to harsh for this time. SO THEY REWROTE IT! Seriously? Isn't something that's written closer on a timeline to Jesus going to be a bit more solid? Logically yes, but just like everyone who follows organized religion. You pick and choose what you want to believe. If you're free to sin then why can't I? Are you god and are you honestly willing to do his job? Are you willing to claim that HIS creation is wrong? I'm sorry but I feel like that's pretty offensive to the big man.
  18. We have civil unions however they aren't solid and don't provide the same benefits. Not only that but why should someone's relationship be labeled something different even IF the benefits are equal. Marriage isn't entirely about religion anymore and it stopped being 'sacred' when people could get married in Las Vegas with someone they don't know and when they could marry in a court. Plus some churches welcome the LGBT community. So why shouldn't they be able to marry gay couples if THEY believe it's right.
  19. I'm somewhat confused but anyways. The fight really isn't to get the churches to recognize gay marriage. The fight is to get recognized by the united states government as equals and to have the benefits of marriage. Unfortunately religion is heavily laced into the system which ultimately corrupts. If people want to keep marriage sacred in religion, that's fine, but if you're going to do that than take away ALL government benefits that are given to the married couples. Make marriage strictly a religious thing, nothing more. IF anyone wants to see why the fight for equality is so important just watch this video. Put yourself in someone else's shoes for just a second and think. Think about how important the legal benefits of marriage are. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pR9gyloyOjM
  20. Then why are you on this forum making statements about homosexuality being unnatural? I acknowledge that the topic is not 'personal' in the sense that it's not directed towards me. But you're making some pretty harsh statements about people's personal lives.
  21. I myself am gay and so I DO support equality to the fullest. In recent years I've heard so many different arguments from so many different people. Religious and atheist, it's all the same. People fear what they don't understand, people fear what they are TAUGHT to fear. With that said I'd like to elaborate on why I'm emphasizing certain things. In my lifetime I've never met a child who was homophobic unless they were raised to be. Sexuality isn't a choice or a lifestyle, you don't choose that. However you do choose to spread hate and you teach your children to hate others. A message to those who are religious and feel Gay Marriage is in any way harmful to society or their beliefs. Your bibles are corrupt and it's words have been twisted throughout the ages. Everything it teaches contradicts it's next passage and the ultimate message is overshadowed by hate. When I was younger I was taught that 'God' wanted us to love everyone. I was taught that only God could judge me and all of his creations. So if you think about it, you're attempting to do HIS job. Now I find that somewhat offensive to the man you worship. That's like being a paper pusher and sneaking into the CEO's office and criticizing all of his employee's like you're somehow better than them. When in reality you're STILL the same as those you hate. To the person who posted this. I respect you for making this post for the simple fact that it'll get people involved, however I think this can and will go bad very quickly. Nothing says you can't and I'm not saying you shouldn't, I just want people to be careful with what they say. (That's not a threat or anything like that) There are rules on this forum and when you bring a topic such as Gay marriage in, it also brings people who are very opinionated and harsh. I would hope that moderators are willing to let people have their freedom but also monitor and remember how sensitive this subject is considering so many LGBT youth could find certain posts to be offensive and potentially 'upset' someone. Even a simple "The bible said so" could be damaging to someone who isn't comfortable with themselves. Anyways! Thank you to anyone who actually read this and to anyone who feels the need to change my point of view, Good Luck. :)
  22. http://webassets.scea.com/pscomauth/groups/public/documents/webasset/feb21/pdf/playstation4_specification.pdf ^^^^ Few specs pulled from the Playstation Site. I'm sure it's all subject to change though. Lol. I honestly can't wait to see them both fully revealed. See if either side has anything hidden up their sleeve.
  23. I don't believe something like that exists (at least not for civilians) If you see something that would require getting someones information, your best bet is to contact the authorities and letting them do it. The reason I don't believe a system like that exists is because it would be used by anyone for everything which would cause confusion and possibly waste the police departments time having to sort through everything. However that's still assuming you're talking about a real police database. Lol. You never know on here. :p
  24. If you're talking about REAL police databases I doubt it. I think the closest thing you could get is a sex offender app. (Shows picture of offender and charges) For a 'Police Database' your best bet would be to google it. I could be wrong. At the same time I don't fully know what you mean by a police database.
  25. I enjoy some of the things they've added over the past like being able to connect to Hulu and Netflix and having the ability to just buy a game through their store. But I'm personally am a Sony kid at heart. I've played both playstation and xbox but playstation has always stuck to it's roots. (In my opinion.) However I feel like it's only a matter of time before Sony starts getting money hungry. When Sony did the conference to showcase some of the features one thing they made clear was they wanted it to be socially integrated. (Being able to share clips by the press of a button and what not.) Which is awesome for youtubers and people like that. To the average gamer and Facebook/Twitter addict it seems like it'll just be something else to clog up timelines. :p But I guess only time will tell. On a side note, I'm not sure if anyone knows, but Sony is planning a E3 Press Conference. Does anyone know whether or not that will be the full reveal or is it still unknown. (I fell out of the loop when I got addicted to LCPDFR. :P )
