this specific paragraph get to know a little bit more of the cops, got this from kotaku

 

 

They make the police encounters sound better, too. In this new game, we can still try to escape the circular zone that flashes on the mini-map when cops come after our malcontent protagonist(s). But, this time, we'll be able to try to hide inside that alarm radius, if we'd like. The cops will use a line-of-sight system, so they won't just magically know where you are. If they have a helicopter in the sky, they'll be able to see plenty. And you'll see them use hand signals to communicate what they're doing.

 

Adding on to andslasher 123, there's a rumor and leak list here that includes some interesting information, particularly this:

 

 

4. Police chases are now way more than either running or driving. Depending on how wanted you are, police may bring out riot shields and flash bangs.

5. When someone reaches 4 star wanted level, there will be a radio warning on some stations.

6. Radio stations now do traffic reports that are actually correct. So if you don't know what route to take, you can check the traffic reports on your phone or the radio.

 

 

9. The underworld actually has a working economy that you can contribute to by buying and selling drugs, weapons and illegal cars in single player.

 

10. The protagonist can take drugs which will have some effects. But smoking weed on the streetwalk will lead to getting a one star wanted level.

11. Police cars will go after you if you're obviousely breaking the speed limit. Having high speed crashes will also damage your health.

 

 

 

WANTED LEVELS:

 

1 star - police follow you on foot and try to make an arrest. No sirens, no car chases (unless you are speeding).

2 star - police will still attempt to make an arrest. If a weapon is drawn then the police will begin opening fire. Police will use stun guns if a weapon is not drawn.

3 star - Chases begin and the police don't care how they stop you, they just want to do it.

4 star - road traps, radio stations and much more hostile police.Even when you have evaded them, they will still search for 24 in-game hours for someone matching your description.

5 star - shoot to kill, arrest only if it's made very possible. Even when you have evaded them, they will still search for 48 in-game hours for someone matching your description. Few missions become unavailable if you are wanted.

6 star - military vehicles come after you. Even when you have evaded them, they will still search for 72 in-game hours for someone matching your description. Some missions become unavailable if you are wanted.

6. Not possible. If previous GTA's are anything to go by, the map isn't populated all the time, it'd take too much processing power. Traffic and pedestrians spawn around you then de-spawn when you're out of range, something complex like "traffic reports" just wouldn't work.

 

11. I don't see this ever being true, sure there are some people like me who actually enjoy driving like a normal person in GTA games but there are times when we just want to race through the streets, I can gurantee a mission or two will have a time limit to get to a certain area, the police won't chase you unless you hit someone or ram a cop car.

 

Wanted levels: The police will chase you on foot and in vehicles WITH sirens and lights at any level. Always have and always will.

Oh, and its already been confirmed that there are only FIVE wanted levels.

 

Nice rumors though, but that's all that are.

Looks like we still (hopefully) get a LAPD-style vapid!

 

 

 

I dont know if anyone has seen this yet but there is a  new sheriff swat suv im guessing and the old vapid cruiser is still in for the sheriff! Im so excited that its still in i kinda wish they would have left it with the old lightbar to have some variety but time will tell...

I'm so freaking happy that the CVPI lookalike Vapid made it into the game as a Sheriff car and potentially LSPD too!  :D

Which explains the new police cars we saw.

Wow, they really are improving! Compared to those vapids from the first trailer. If this game would've been released in January, we would never have received all these ELS vehicles! Here's a couple screenshots I took from the trailer.

 

 

And on the topic of GTA V, weapon flashlights?

Wonder if we will be able to do anything with the security cameras of if it will affect us at all. It could also be there just for show

I literally had a heart attack when I saw those LSSD cars! Omigosh! Ermagerhd!

 

Where do I start? That LSPD Vapid has a divider! Can you say CAGE CAR?

 

That deputy driving the LSSD car actually has a khaki/tan uniform, so we get different ped models for sheriff's cars. Awesome!

 

I noticed the screenies reminded me a lot of the movie Heat. Especially the hockey masks and the airport runway.

I think it may just be illuminated by the red car's headlights.
