Terrible news out of the United States.

I am utterly disgusted not only by the acts first of all, but the conduct of the members of this forum. Most of us have been grieving and are interested in inquiring about what's going on, it makes us all think. I can't believe that a forum of people who must be interested in some sort of Law Enforcement career or Police in general could say "who cares" or start fights...

I am also bewildered by the folks here who could even SUGGEST that this was NORTH KOREA?! WHAT?! How outrageous is that! Absolutely ridiculous!

The only thing right now that the US citizenry + concerned people 'shouldn't care about' is North Korea and the other stuff going on. Let the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the BPD handle the investigation, yes it makes us all think but we shouldn't be pointing fingers at DPRK, not defending them

On another note, RIP to the luckily few casualties there... Can't imagine actually being there for the explosion, having one bomb... 10 seconds later another. So scary just watching the videos.

Several security and terrorism experts are saying that the bombs are were most likely developed for a shocker type of explosion, and not mass casualty. This is definitely homegrown terrorism as they usually don't have the resources for large scale attacks, and try to get the largest shock they can. Again, this is unconfirmed and just speculation on their part.

Attack at a mass public event like this strikes of jihadis.

From images posted around the net and info from other forums I post on I except that the casualty rate will climb.

Thoughts out to the victims, victim's families and the rest that were there today.

I Think its Domestic Terrorism, i Just heard that a Guy in a "Penske Truck" was asking to get into the area of the Triage center saying that it was full of "Medical equipment" and when they cop turned him down he pulled off and got out of sight and now theyre looking for the truck.

its called demonizing...the government will lie as usual

I'd like a general rule of thumb that trolls need to **** off for a minimum of 24 hours after an event like this before they start griefing people.

In response to visible25: Good job getting the word out man. I'm proud to have you as a fellow Bostonian/Mass citizen, whatever you wanna call yourself. Hang tough, and give any information you can to the police, no matter how small and unimportant it may seem.

It's a sad day for everybody because once again we see pointless acts of violence against the public and it is rather saddening to read some of the comments here as well, but these are the interwebz and as we all know things get blown out of proportion easily, especially in an environment of "anonymity".

But regardless of all that, my thoughts and prayers are with those who lost loved ones are injured or otherwise affected by the cowardly act, that was committed today in Boston.

Dude that's so fucked up. I would just lay down and cry myself to sleep when I got home if I were there. Especially that close. I wouldn't have the courage to talk about it on some forum like you did.

Going through a news article, this is a picture what I found. Could this be the person?

Picture not be my and I take new credits for it.

After reading a few more news sources, a facebook page was created a few days prior to the bombing (Saturday). (if it is the same person)  I mean really, are you that stupid to do that. You basically just put your self in jail

You can't arrest someone because they made a facebook page.

That was claimed when the Newtown shooting happened...

Apparently a facebook page was made 3 days before the shooting happened...

Regardless of your sources I dont believe it.

Well the Patriot Act pretty much says that if you're even suspected of committing a terrorist act, you have virtually no rights (or something along those lines, I'm not a law major so don't chew me out because of this)

Whoever did this will be caught. You can bet your ass on that.

Putting that aside, condolences to all of those involved or affected by these terrible acts.

First of all, a picture of a guy on a roof doesn't mean anything. It's a city, during a state holiday, during one of the largest events in the city of the year. There will be people about.

Also, regarding the Facebook post:

You folks realize that if you have admin privileges to the page, you can change the title, even after the page was created, right?

I don't even use Facebook and I know that.

Right now the media is jumping on every rumor and tiny little thing in an effort to be "First"! Accuracy and facts be dammed.

Incredible stuff.  I'm hoping that you didn't get injured or anything by it?

Just read the article. At least you guys are okay.

"He saw a photo of a runner who had been knocked down by the blast, with two police officers helping him up and a third officer running toward the explosion with a gun drawn."

It's amazing how the first responders run in there, regardless of how dangerous it is. It's times like these where you really have to thank the police, fire department, EMS, military - everyone who helps - for their service.
