At the finish line of the Boston Marathon, 2 explosions went off, injuring dozens.

1. 2042:

   CNN reports that four victims of the explosions are at emergency room at Massachusetts General Hospital.

2. 2041:

   One witness, Laura McLean tells AP: "There are people who are really, really bloody."

   She was in the medical tent being treated for dehydration when she was pulled out to make room for victims of the explosions.

3. 2040:

   Zara Bielkus, a 30-year-old spectator from Boston, tells AFP news agency she heard two explosions seconds apart. Police then locked down the area.

   "When we heard them, everyone looked at each other and went very quiet, and within a minute police came," she says.

4. 2037:

   New York Police are deploying counter-terrorism police around Manhattan landmarks, reports say. NYPD Deputy Commissioner Paul Browne said police were stepping up security in response to the Boston blasts.

 

It's just sad. My heart goes out to the people injured and their families.

Boston PD Confirmed 2 dead. They have also confirmed it was 2 explosive devices and have urged the public to stay away from garbage cans.

They have conducted a controlled detonation on Boylseton Street, in addition to that there is the explosion at JFK library, I do not know if that was by EOD or otherwise, no injuries reported at JFK.

It makes me absolutely sick. How could someone do this? There's children there, disabled people, families..

I HIGHLY doubt that North Korea had anything to do with this. It's possible, but incredibly unlikely. This was most likely done by homegrown terrorists, or someone trying to send a message.

I Think its Domestic Terrorism, i Just heard that a Guy in a "Penske Truck" was asking to get into the area of the Triage center saying that it was full of "Medical equipment" and when they cop turned him down he pulled off and got out of sight and now theyre looking for the truck.

No, it most likely wasn't North Korea. lol Probably a middle eastern terrorist group or anti-government U.S. terrorist group as said above. The latest reports from New England's Channel 5 news says that 2 bombs went off, a third was a controlled explosion, two more bombs have been discovered and are being dealt with by the Boston Bomb Squad, 3 people are dead, and there are conflicting reports as to how many are injured. I've heard 5, I've also heard 60. We won't know until the end of the day. The first two bombs contained ball bearings, probably meaning that the police will be looking at local hardware stores purchase records to see if some people bought a large quantity of them recently.

This hits me hard, even though I don't live there.  I've been to Boston a few times, only reason I did because my dad did the marathon.  We didn't go this year, so this is a shock to me!

The citizens of Massachusetts (myself among them) haven't even determined exactly what happened, who's responsible or who's even dead or injured yet. Cut that crap out and leave us alone until everything's over. It's disrespectful. Nobody did a 9/11 tribute during the evening of the attacks.
