  • I wouldn't have a problem driving modern european cop cars, but I can't stand the sirens France and other European countries use.

  • Cops dislike civilians who drive Crown Vics/cop cars. They will think there's something wrong with you or think you're a wannabee.   I drive a 1988 BMW E30 M3.

  • ^^ Unless you paint it yellow and charge people money to ride in it. Then, you're fine.

If only it is cheap to import these car to my country, I would drive them.....

I always wanted to drive a decommissioned CVPI or Charger, but I gave up on the idea.

I drive a 2013 Chevrolet Cruze LTZ (Rally Sport package w/ push-to-start) currently.  Getting it tinted in a couple weeks. Not the crown vic (or charger) that I used to want, but it's good enough for me.  Better on gas too, I suppose.

I wouldn't recommend getting a police Charger.  They're nice cars, but not when you're paying for the maintenance on it.

I'm not sure what's with all the Trailblazers, but I drive one myself haha.  I have a 2007 Trailblazer Supersport and I love it, except for the terrible gas mileage and the fact that it takes premium...

Lol

I don't have my license yet, just my learner's

But, when I get my license I'm either driving an '02  Ford Explorer, or our '07 Toyota Corolla

Best,

KRI

I've had the unfortunate oppurunity to drive a Crown Vic on the scene of a Vehicle Fire.... the Cop was the first on the scene and parked his car too close to the fire and I had to drive it a block out of the way.... so yea, an EMT drove a Cop Car with lights on a block.... yiiipieee....

They are tanks...

Really?

Anyway, I plan on buying a '97 Vic restored. I don't want to look like a cop, so I plan on getting one with the older body style.

Yea, But It's not fast, I want an car to go up to 290km (i wish)

I don't live in the US so driving this in my country is Unique :)

Nice Idea LOL... I think I might do that haha

Since I'm still saving for my first car, I drive my dad's Renault Megane 1.5 dCi Extreme Grandtour. Not exactly the car I'm looking for though in the future.

O how I envy you Americans for driving those beautiful and mean machines...

"Dura lex, sed lex"

:'( Lucky guys, in France it's incredibly expensive to import and certificate an US car like those ones.

So we have shitty cars. But european roads are a bit too tight for those trucks anyway, city of Montpellier had Crown Vic Police a few years ago, and they were difficult to handle in little streets.

I was in a Crown Vic in Bakersfield once, omg, I felt in love. I really would like to own one.

Haha, I saw the Montpellier police Crown Victoria in a Remi Gaillard video :D

And as an example of what you've said, this is a 79 Bonneville I often see parked here in Spain. Notice how practicaly doesn't fit in the parking lot: http://img833.imageshack.us/img833/2950/img0305um.jpg

I might be getting the driving license by fall, if I get some money. I'd drive to get a '67 Impala. If not, another classic american car, even conversion vans in order to make trips. I've traveled twice in Crown Victorias in the USA, and they were the most confortable cars I've ever ridden on, I'd think on getting one of those if I had to buy a modern car.

Edited by strike

I'm still saving for lessons, although when I pass I'm aiming for something small for my first car. Insurance is damn expensive over here in the UK so its best I go for the smaller-engined cars like this one;

I've always loved Ford's too. They always make fine cars.

Yea... that's what someone in our City thought aswell, he ended up hittin a Curb going at about 220km/h in his BMW and jumped it going up 6m high in a Tree. You couldn't tell if that was a car or a pile of junk up there... and well the driver was splattered around in pieces on the road

Anyways, I'd love to buy a crown Vic, but if it wasn't for it's bad gas mileage and the Insurance $$$. Gotta stick to the European Cars' unfortunately...

why is this picture in a used car lot if its yours?

Because I don't feel like going outside to take a picture of my SUV with a camera. Google Image Search works well enough.
