Arrest Suggestion

Featured Replies

Please simplify the arrest process, make it just like the AI, you aim at them and they get in a car.

What's the point of that? That is very unrealistic.

I don't like the current one where you keep pressing E and you put handcuffs on a person from 10 feet away and the car next to them disappears. Just an idea.

I would think the general community(including myself) would like to keep the current feature of having to cuff. I personally would not use the updated version of LCPDFR if all i had to do was point at them, press a button and then they just walk to a car.

Not realistic nor fun :D

Your way of the arrest system sounds really boring. I think everyone would prefer to keep the current arrest system.

So I highly doubt your suggestion will not be put into the next version of LCPD:FR.

If you want to me reply as soon as possible, then either quote or @CouthInk4  me as i'll be notified, a general reply will not notify me

The only thing i'd like to see changed/fixed is the xbox360 controller compatibility, [LB] doesn't work for me at all whether its in the Police Station, Open a trunk or arrest, the amount of times the so and so runs off while i'm looking at the keyboard to press E by the time i look back at the screen the guy is half way up the road probably laughing his you know whats off :woot:

You can arrest someone without pointing a gun. Switch to the baton (the baseball bat, if you haven't modded that), target them, and hit "E". That also lets you issue citations.

Ok than at least make the current one less buggy

I'm pretty sure "making things less buggy" is already on their to-do list.

I don't think LCPDFR is that "buggy" at all. Just the arrests/frisking. Everything else works pretty well. A lot of bugs are caused by other mods interfering with eachother.

Totally agree with you there. Have to stop for a second to press E while they be running up the block or two. lol

Great news

thats what xpadder is for reef...you can map keys onto that...it works fine for me and i have els and spotlight mapped to my controller too

Thats a good idea, i might have a go with this to tide me over till the next release.

I use ControlMK (there should be a pinned topic in support with hints on how to set it up), and it works pretty well. Never tried Xpadder, but I see it's not freeware.

GlovePIE is pretty much the gold standard of input emulation; it's insanely flexible and powerful.

I have an idea of a better, more realistic and fun way to arrest someone.

Step 1: Aim + Press E at the suspect from up to maybe 10-15 ft away.
Step 2: If they comply, they get down on their knees and put their hands behind their backs (would be cool if it was possible to have a voice recording for that part too, but probably not possible)
Step 3: Walk up to them and slap handcuffs on behind them.
Step 4: Aim at your cruiser and use a hotkey to order them to walk to that car with their hands still handcuffed and get in the backseat instead of them following you.

I would find that to be a lot more fun than the current system.
