If someone does decide to try that on a IV vehicle, you should map it to the secondaries or something. That way people can use it if they want or they can decide not to use it.

The only problem being that the model would have to be edited each time a new livery is made.

A majority of of the vehicles alot of PD's use with the amount of light's is unnecessary, just a liberty at night can light up a city block..

Pff... that's not so cool, backing to this thread vehicle, I see a kinda unnecessary so many lights, I think that only distract the driver..

and thats why its just a demo car its not like they are going to put that many lights on a squad car its just to show what lighting is available and the officers can choose what lights they want and where to put them

CLICKY

Not only would those many lights blind the driver, they'd be really expensive.

I think all cop cars should have this light set up.

Liberty Light bar.

2 dash lights in the back with the Directional.

4 grill lights.

Than of course the head lights flash for CODE 3 and also the reverse lights flash.

Because a few years ago the BPD got sued for get this not having enough lights on there cop cars. They only had the light bar and to some that wasn't enough to see them.... Reason the law suit started because the driver couldn't pull over because he couldn't see the light bar on top of the crown vic which I think is BS but she won... lol

Now the cop cars have that set up I put up there

I was being tailgated by a cop a couple weeks ago and they later flipped on the lights (no siren) to head to a call and I could NOT see their lightbar at all because they were so close, it was above my line of sight through my back window. I managed to get a glimpse of other lights and pulled over. It was a crown vic as well. It is technically possible to not see the lightbar.

Nutt and I talked awhile ago about doing this car or something very similar. Never made it past the drawing board though

I think that is also why they place lightbars in the MIDDLE of the roof of SUV's with a taller mount, i provided a picture to show what i mean, but a retarded amount of light's is completely unnecessary, though the lighting control module should have extra lighting options on it to make everything extra to one another, meaning lightbar option ONLY turns on the lightbar 1 for seconaries, 1 for wig wags front and back, 1 for headlight strobes, and/or 1 extra for each extra light other then that, the more lights that are on, the more serious the event, cause you really don't need anything more then the lightbar, secondaries, wig wags and headlight strobes for a traffic stop.

and JUST an FYI the lightbar on the durango is a Code 3 Defender.

I got pulled over by an unmarked sky-blue CVPI a couple of years ago (40 in a 35 or something like that, this particular pct didn't like me too much, but that's another story...), funny thing about it was I didn't even know I was being pulled over until I came to a stop in a parking spot and got out of my car to walk into a store, haha. There were only 2 red halogens in the grill and wags in the headlights, all of which was completely below my FOV (rear setup was equally minimal, wags in the reverse/brake lights, maybe a single deck light?). Little bit of an awkward moment, but if memory serves me right I never got a ticket for it.

IMO, given the average intelligence of most drivers on the road today, I'd say Xmas tree setups are just bad as minimal setups. Corner strobes, roof lightbar, a dashlight/mirror beams, and a set of decklights in the back seems to be the standard around here, and I'd say that's a pretty optimal setup.

That's why I like cop cars that have a light on the dash as well that way they can be seen from that close.

Not my style at all... Just way to much lights on the door too!

I would just stick with the normal setups (dash lights, grill lights, led lightbars etc...)

Well guys, someone has lit up something!!!!!!!!

However, it isnt the decal it is the little pins that say chevy and the car type :DDDD

Its really really cool!! Check it out :
