Just figured I'd stop in and say hi. Most of you probably don't even know who I am (or was). Congrats to Sam and the crew on such a successful mod, you guys are killing it. I can't believe how many people stream LSPDFR now and how popular it is. Its nice to see too that people are still converting and using my mods from GTA:IV. Its crazy after all these years its still going. I do miss this from time to time, but I'm out here doing this in the real world now. I hope you all are doing well! Stay safe out there. 
 
PS: To all who have messaged me asking, YES, USE MY MODS, convert them to GTA: V (just credit me). That's what they are there for!

I don't mind at all if you want to do this, that's why they were released unlocked in the first place so that people could use them as they please. The only thing I ask is that if you do convert it to GTA V and use it on your model, that you credit me for the original work. I hope by posting this in the forum it will help ease down on the PM's and give a more timely response since I don't come on here very often. 
UPDATE: I was informed by a poster that some of the readme files state that you need my permission to convert models. Like I said above, no need to ask anymore, consider everything fair game for conversion to whatever you want.

Oh really? I forgot putting something like that in there, I guess at the time I assumed I would still be modeling and to be safe added that in. That way no one could release it if I was still in the game. Well that's understandable then

Yes it is, the car in the photo you posted has a Federal Signal Legend on it. That model that was provided is the same bar as the photos. Only difference is the RED/BLUE top which can be changed to clear (to match the photo) in a matter of minutes.

Thats not what hes asking... You didn't read his question properly, he's talking about the emission of color on the buildings and roads, not the actual emerglights_emis colors
 
So it would go: Step 1 - open GTA IV directory which is located at C:>program files (x86)>Rockstar Games> Grand Theft Auto IV and find the ELS.ini (see red arrow/text below) Step 2 - Open the ELS.ini and find the slot that you have the car installed in (ie FBI) Your looking for this:    [ FBI ] Status = on File = default_config   Step 3 - It will say "File= default_config" underneath it unless you've already created a custom config. Rename "default_config" to "fbi" and save. So it looks like this:    [ FBI ] Status = on File = fbi   Step 4 - Go back to main GTA IV directory and find the ELS folder (see green arrow/text below) Open it and inside will be a file called "default_config" (Unless you've already made a custom file for the car slot in question and if you have then open the config for that car) Otherwise if you haven't already made a custom config then make a copy of "default_config" and rename it to "fbi" Step 5 - Open the "fbi" config and look for [ ENV_LIGHT_COLORS ] Step 6 - Change extra_1 - extra_4 to "blue", extra_5 - extra_6 to white and extra_7 - extra_9 to amber. So it looks like this:   [ ENV_LIGHT_COLORS ] Extra_1 = blue Extra_2 = blue Extra_3 = blue Extra_4 = blue Extra_5 = white Extra_6 = white Extra_7 = amber Extra_8 = amber Extra_9 = amber *** If you tell me what car your using I can give you a more accurate color setup. If you want to try and figure it out yourself, extra_1-4 are the main primaries and would be set to blue. extra_5-6 are the takedowns/wig-wags and extra_7-9 is the traffic advisor/other LEDs. If the car is setup with the secondaries being LEDs and not a T.A. I would say change those from amber to blue ***   Step 7 - Save it, launch the game and test it out. Like I said above, extra 5-6 and 7-9's color depends on the setup of the car but you can change them to blue if you need to If you have the car in a different slot than FBI the process is still the same but instead of looking for FBI your looking for NOOSE or POLICE2. Why don't you do something about it instead of complaining that you see all the same types of cars. You obviously have no idea how much time it takes to convert cars. Plus only a few people have those new PI models and they aren't exactly giving them out to anyone who asks, in fact its the exact opposite, they are holding onto them and not giving them out. What exactly do you want to see? 99% of the real police cruisers out there are CVPI's Chargers, Tahoe's and Impala's so that doesn't leave much room for anything else except the new Taurus/SUV/Caprice but like I said, those are soooooo hard to get(if you want to get them the ethical way). I do agree with you that all of these new "modelers"(If you can call them that) are just throwing on the same parts and thinking they modeled a car. So that could be part of the reason why you feel that there are so many of those vehicles, because there is due to all these people just adding a Whelen Liberty and calling it a day. A year ago we never saw so many models being released but now its multiple models everyday and they aren't the kind of quality the community is used to seeing. If we were still seeing a lot of quality models with variety then you might not be complaining. Thats why I've been trying to make/get new lightbars/parts lately. Thats also the reason why I removed my tutorial on basic modeling, people abused it and now we have all of these sub-par cars being released which was never what I intended to happen. Oh and BTW scratch modeling isn't something your going to explain over a PM....

Only about 3 months out of the academy he was fatally shot while contacting a bank robbery suspect here in Fond du Lac Wisconsin. Gunfire was exchanged with the suspect and Trooper Casper was fatally wounded. He was killed on his first day alone in the field.

Gunfire was exchanged with the suspect and Trooper Casper was fatally wounded. He was killed on his first day alone in the field.
