Keyboard Police Lights

Currently developing Razer support.

Keyboard Police lights is a plugin to implement police patterns on RGB keyboards. This plugin currently only supports Logitech Per Key RGB devices and Logitech Mono RGB Devices(i.e. those that only allow one colour across whole keyboard)

When you toggle your sirens on the plugin will play a police light effect across your keyboard, when your toggle the sirens off, or leave your vehicle, the effect will stop restoring your previous pattern, e.g Rainbow wave.

Features:

Compatible with ELS
9 Predefined lighting patterns
Compatible with all Logitech Per key RGB devices
Includes patterns for UK and US keyboard layouts
Restores keyboard pattern when you shut sirens off
Option to leave keyboard lights running when out of vehicle
Option to change speed of light pattern

Prerequisites:

Rage Plugin Hook v0.62 alpha (Older versions may work, however are not tested)
Legal copy of GTA V
Logitech Gaming Software

Installation:

Copy LogitechLedEnginesWrapper.dll to your main GTA V directory.
Copy Plugins/KeyboardLights.dll and Plugins/KeyboardLights.ini to GTA V/Plugins.
Change the light pattern in KeyboardLights.ini to one you wish to use.

How to use:

Simply click the setting when Rage Plugin Hook loads and tick KeyboardLights and when ever you're in a police car and toggle your lights on, the effect will play.
Alternatively manually load the plugin by opening the console (F4) and type LoadPlugin KeyboardLights, then you will be good to go.
Don't Know if you have US or UK Layout? If you have Backslash (\) next to your return key, you have US layout, if backslash is next to left shift, you have UK.

Notes:

This is not compatible with Corsair/Razer/Cooler Master or any other keyboards. Logitech Only.
This will not work with Logitech keyboards that do not support Per key RGB.
Keyboard Lights is my first plugin for GTA V, if you encounter any issues, I'll be glad to look into them.
In future version I will add the option to leave the Keyboard Lights on when you step out of the vehicle.

As far as I'm aware G19 only supports Single Colour RGB. It should work but only with either the setting FlashAllRed or FlashAllBlue

I love the concept of this. Unfortunately I'm running a ThermalTake Challenger Prime RGB keyboard and can't give it a shot. Would be an awesome setup for a streamer 😉

G19 should work. As far as I'm aware G19 only supports Single Colour RGB. It should work but only with either the setting FlashAllRed or FlashAllBlue

Yeah it does with single colours. Shame it doesn't work with dual colours.

Looks like I'll be upgrading one day just to use this. 😛

I have Logitech g910 when I clicked it on ragehook then went into game selected the car at the bottom it said els locked. I couldn’t turn the lights on or get the els menu to come up?

Hey, not sure if this is still being worked on or not, however, I am curious. I just got a G213 which is RGB but via zones not per key, is it locked down to only one color or is it possible to make at least the zones flash red+blue? I really like this idea, just the non-changing flash speed is a bit of a let down for me (due to my keyboard, not this mod obviously). But keep up the great work!.

It's likely just something I did wrong, but I have a Logitech G910 Orion Spectrum and it crashes right after loading it every time for me... do you know what might be happening? I double-checked that the files are installed in the right folders... any help is appreciated. Thanks! 🙂

Your not the only one having the issue, apparently it's trying to make a connection to an IP address for some reason to request something. I can't remember what the IP was but i tried to connect to it and got a 404 which is what the logs say also when connecting to the IP

hmm, might be trying to communicate with an old logitech or gta file server maybe? I know that gta has its own applet for LGS so it's possible that it downloads and overwrites that file??? Maybe what's breaking it is that server not existing anymore??? I have no idea but I I feel like that's a valid conspiracy 😛 lol thanks for letting me know! 😄

Sorry folks, Been very busy in my personal life and hadn't had time to work on this for a long while.

The error would be because it was trying to connect to my web server to do a version check, I cleaned up the web server a while ago and it looks like I removed the file it's trying to compare the version to, so my apologies.

I've just tested it and its working without crashes 🙂

Will this work with a Logitech g213 keyboard? I've tried to install it, but the script kept crashing whenever I went to load up LSPDFR. But it would be the only script that crashes.

Guess I really don't need this plugin as i have a K33 Gaming Set, E-Sports Mouse and Keyboard Suit, Backlit LED Gaming. Google K33 Gaming Set and you'll see what I am talking about.

I also am curious on this. I have the G213 and it is an RGB keyboard with 1.6 million colors but has zones of color but not Per Key. Has anyone found a setting that works on this Logitech Keyboard?
