This is the latest gameconfig.xml by @dilapidated, @PNWParksFan, and the RDE Team. A modified gameconfig is required for most add-on mods. We recommend installing this gameconfig using LML (Lenny's Mod Loader). If you are using LML, you can install this package using the Mod Manager, and it will load a working gameconfig.xml for the latest game version. You do not need to change the file in update.rpf, just load this package and you're ready to go.

 

You can also install this gameconfig manually by downloading the file, and copying gameconfig.xml from the "latest" folder to [mods]\update\update.rpf\common\data\.

What's New in Version 3751

Released

Version 3751 is updated for the January 2026 update. Heap Adjuster and Packfile Limit Adjuster are required.

 

This update changes the SCRIPT_XML value to fix compatibility for some script mods. No changes were required for the base GTA gameconfig.xml, as the only value that changed was fwDynamicArchetypeComponent which is already set to its max value in this gameconfig.

    can anyone help i deleted the regular game config by accident and when i use this it crashed and never loads my game

    Hello! What is the exact difference between Gameconfig.xml for LML 2060 and GTA Config v21 for v 1.0.2060 (Stock Traffic) config? I only play LSPDFR should I only use Gameconfig.xml for LML 2060?

    any complaints of out of memory crash messages? 2060 version run faultlessly, but 30 mins max at the moment, and I don't have Cs scenario etc?

    I haven't experienced any such issues. Make sure you have the heap adjuster installed.

    yep heap adjuster and packet still there.... I'm try without LML now copying and pasting into update/update/common/data just the .xml.  there's one with current version number, and one marked latest what's the difference?

    LML is crashing my game with the latest update. Had to take it out

    Works just fine for me, maybe you installed something wrong. Did you download the latest version of this file and delete any old versions of it?

    I also have crashes when I install planes with lml. Before I was able to throw all of em into one folder and install 10gb worth of planes, now I get a memory error... with heap and all those mods installed. I've seen it alot with the latest game config.

    Yes, like any gameconfig, it lets you install add-on vehicles
