This is the latest gameconfig.xml by @dilapidated, @PNWParksFan, and the RDE Team. A modified gameconfig is required for most add-on mods. We recommend installing this gameconfig using LML (Lenny's Mod Loader). If you are using LML, you can install this package using the Mod Manager, and it will load a working gameconfig.xml for the latest game version. You do not need to change the file in update.rpf, just load this package and you're ready to go.

 

You can also install this gameconfig manually by downloading the file, and copying gameconfig.xml from the "latest" folder to [mods]\update\update.rpf\common\data\.

What's New in Version 3751

Released

Version 3751 is updated for the January 2026 update. Heap Adjuster and Packfile Limit Adjuster are required.

 

This update changes the SCRIPT_XML value to fix compatibility for some script mods. No changes were required for the base GTA gameconfig.xml, as the only value that changed was fwDynamicArchetypeComponent which is already set to its max value in this gameconfig.

No, the base game gameconfig.xml did not update and there were no content updates.

    Will there be an update for version 3274 soon? This gameconfig causes my game to crash and show a memory error and as soon as I disable it my game works fine.

    Hi there. After the latest update, my game is constantly crashing and I've narrowed it down to Lenny's Mod Loader. It would seem that it needs to be updated. If the dev's could release an updated version, I'd be forever grateful, as most of my mods are loaded in via LML. Thanks heaps in advance.

    LML itself is still working fine. It's likely that a mod you're loading with LML requires something that is missing or needs to be updated. Have you updated your Gameconfig for the latest game version?

    An update is not needed as the gameconfig did not change from 3407 to 3411.

    I haven't updated yet, but from what I understand the base game's gameconfig did not change, so this shouldn't need to either.

    i do have lots of mods such as real traffic, custom high texture police cars, NVE etc. LML always worked liked a charm

    sorry for making so many separate posts but i have to mention that i have the basics for heavy modding such as heap adjustment, resource adjustment and the packfile limiter adjuster and the settings i have them at always worked for me. I have a 4090 with 32gb ram..I've been at this for a half a day and the only conclusion i have is maybe its the gameconfig. Pls help me by taking a look because my game crashes the minute i press singleplayer and turn on ragepluginhook

    Ok I’ll start tearing down each mod to see what’s causing the crash, thanks for reassuring me because I had a feeling it’s not the gameconfig.

    No. There was no game content update in this patch.

    I did the same; I uninstalled everything and redownloaded the game. With a fresh copy, I'm still getting a black screen with zero mods.
